Surprise of the trip. Clean rooms, clean bath, clean towels. Affordable and convenient. The coffee roaster, Matador Coffee, in the adjacent parking lot was great. Just minutes from downtown Flagstaff and Whole Foods.

Great place to break up road trip to LA from NM. Friendly & organized reception, very comfortable bed, location is far enough from BNSF rail line to get some rest - key consideration in Flagstaff - and the coffee is on early down in the lobby. Try Mike & Rhonda's for breakfast the next day - two minutes' walk

This is a MOTEL not a hotel. It's very basic, it's in an odd location for getting in and out of the parking lot. The rooms are tiny, 2 queen beds and the bathrooms are very small. The motel was clean but was old and outdated. Nothing impressive but at least you can get some sleep.

This was one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. Owners are very pleasant. Good location to be able to walk to supper and breakfast. It's on a main street but there isn't any noticeable traffic noise. The AC/Heater works great as white noise. It's just a great find.

Went to flagstaff for the day wanted to find a hotel that was 1. Cheap and 2. Convenient. This place fit both bills. Very clean and quite. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. They let us check in 30 mins early!! The walk to down town is not bad at all 10 mins top. Just ask for...

Good place to stay for great price, very clean room, good shower. TV, fridge, microwave, table and chairs. Nice location in town, close to restaurants and Snowbowl for skiing. Convenient parking space in front of room.

The price is excellent, $55 per room which I booked through Chase using credit card points so it was free. Compared to the Motel 6 in Flagstaff, which is about the same price, the Highland Country Inn is superior in the following ways: + Much better location (corner of Butler and Rt. 66 which is probably overall the most convenient...

Nice and clean. No breakfast. But inexpensive. Mattress was a bit too hard. Room includes fridge and microwave. Walls were a bit thin (could hear a bit of an argument)... but the other guests were considerate after 10pm.

Reserved based on other reviews. I like motels. This was just ok. Parking was odd as it was limited in front of the rooms. It was very clean as other travelers stated. Pillows were incredibly flat! At check in the staff wasn't very welcoming. Not rude but clearly didn't want to interact. Proximity to the Lowell observatory was a plus...

Good location and clean rooms. However, the reception staff (night - around 8:00PM) was very unfriendly and even rude with my daughters. She was very unpleasant during our check in as well. Hopefully she won't be working in the morning during our check out. Otherwise, it was good.
