Lobby & room very quaint. No coffee pot in room or in lobby. Must purchase coffee from bar. Parking difficult. Very few spaces available next to hotel. $10. Parking available in lot across the street. Room quiet. Train noise not an issue as trains do not blare their horns when going through town. Bed comfortable. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Lovely old fashioned hotel. Very good value, though they don't offer breakfast and the bathroom was tiny. Good restaurants all around within walking distance. We would stay again.

My husband and I enjoy historical hotels so when we planned a trip further up north in Arizona, we decided to spend a night at the Hotel Monte Vista on the way home. It is centrally located in the historical downtown area near great breweries, shops, and fine dining....something for everyone. The hotel was built in 1927 so it has... More

Interesting, fun and centrally located to everything cool in Flagstaff! Each room is named after someone famous....rooms are decorated old school, great change!

We stayed here for one night in Sept '05 as part of our trip to the Grand Canyon. We had booked for 2 nights, so that should be a hint. The issue was not the hotel as much as the train. If you are used to little to no noise when you sleep, then I can't recommend this place. If... More

We stayed here with a large group of 10 people. We got 3 rooms, the Jack Daniels suite, the Gary Cooper room and the Air Supply room. All of the rooms were very nice. The staff were friendly. We went to both of the bars there and they were good, although the coffee/martini bar was small and crowded, so we... More

We booked a last minute trip to flagstaff at this hotel, we got a queen room with a shared bath. The room was spacious and comfy with a sink, and I actually was surprised at the shared bath it wasn't bad at all. Always clean and never really had to wait for it. The bar in the hotel was surprisingly... More

My husband and I stayed here, and we got a king suite (the Babbitt Room on the 3rd floor). The room was very spacious...especially for being an "old/historic" hotel. We liked it so much that when we came back through Flagstaff, we stayed another night...this time in a queen suite, which happened to be the ANTHONY HOPKINS SUITE (on the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Monte Vista for three enjoyable nights in September 2011 as part of our 2000 mile road trip visiting places of interest within the states of Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona. This hotel is full of movie history due to the 1940's and 1950's when over a hundred movies were filmed in... More

We might not have even stopped in Flagstaff except that we were giving 3 young men a ride to town from Walnut Canyon National Monument. We saw the the Monte Vista's tall old neon sign on top their 4 story building, and though it was earlier in the day than we had planned to stop, it looked like an opportunity... More
