Great hotel if you're on a road trip Plenty of character and in the historic town centre. The rooms are a bit dark and not too spacious. no wardrobe to hang your cloths but heyho we're on a road trip and looking for laid back places to stay and this hits the spot full on. The bar is busy all... More

I stayed at the Monte Vista on a Saturday night on a weekend that I was visiting my daughter at NAU. We stayed in the Presidential Sweet. The Monte Vista is a really interesting old hotel and a great place to stay. The hotel is in the center of the old section of Flagstaff and within easy walking distance to... More

We stayed at the Monte Vista for two nights and greatly enjoyed our stay. The history of the hotel and the other surrounding buildings was fascinating. There are a ton of great local eateries and bars all within walking distance. Parking is a little tight, but what else would you expect in a busy area. All the staff we encountered... More

Come on, this is not a Four Seasons/Ritz kinda place. This is a funky, sorta restored, rustic old hotel in the old downtown area of Flagstaff. It is a place to enjoy history - a true throwback to old West & mountain days, convenient to everything fun in dining, clubs, music, etc. it's noisy because there's a plethora of people... More

Three friends stayed at the hotel after visiting Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend in Page, AZ. The hotel brags of being 'haunted' so we had to stay here!! And in the Presidential Suite no less! What a fun experience! We then went down to the bar for drinks and great people watching since it was around Halloween - the people... More

We stayed at the Hotel Monte Vista for 2 nights as we explored the Grand Canyon. It was fun to stay at a place that had a lot of character and avoid the typical hotel chains. We stayed in the Debbie Reynolds room on the 3rd floor and had a king bed and our own bathroom with a shower. The... More

Enjoyed our stay and perfect location to explore downtown Flagstaff. Comfortable room with some neat updates. Bathroom needs some hooks to hang clothes/towels. Brewery to the south had nice craft beers and nice menu.

I stayed a couple of nights at the Monte Vista, I was a bit non-plussed about the named rooms. I was in the one dedicated to Air Supply and I thought they put me in the Janitors Closet. It was fine though and on the 3rd floor so it wasn't noisy. The hotel is historical and I did have a... More

OK, so the room wasn't that great, It was clean, however. The carpet in the public hallway and stairwell was dirty and it made us a little concerned until we saw the room. The front desk staff person was very nice and very helpful. We stayed in the Jane Russell Room which was pretty cool as we can actually name... More

Stumbled on to Hotel Monte Vista on a road trip with my girlfriend more or less by accident as we didn't even really have a plan to necessarily stay in Flagstaff. The hotel itself is relatively nice. Very retro and true to its origins. The front desk girl was a little short and borderline rude but we checked in quickly... More
