I helped open hotel years ago and had retail in the lobby, nice stay. You can tell locals don’t support hotel so it struggles but don’t let that stop you. Historic place with great food in Carmen’s, great value, nice staff in worn but beautiful surroundings. You can’t go wrong!

I stayed at this hotel for an overnight during a road trip up to New York and I'm glad I did. The hotel is in an old train station (interesting if you are an architecture fan). The rooms are totally modern--clean contemporary style and all the high-tech amenities--a real

What a wonderful review, and our entre staff thanks you for the heart felt recognition. It truly makes us feel great as we spent painstaking effort in this renovation to be modern and functional for the expectations of today's hotel traveler, while being very mindful of the tradition of the past. Our staff in every area is among the best I have worked with in my career; I am so glad you recognized them so thoroughly. We share all of our reviews with our entire team, and they will love reading this. I am so glad you enjoyed Carmen's 2.0 and maybe you can join us sometime for one of our monthly First Friday Wine Tasting Dinners. If you do find your way to Trax Bar + Kitchen, I am confident you will be pleased as well as we are a fresh ingredient/locally sourced kitchen (as available) throughout the entire facility. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Pleased, beautiful atmosphere. Great location. Right in the heart of the city. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. This was not my first stay. Also offered hypoallergenic bedding which was great for my allergies.

The reuse of a train station is a delightful concept but the execution of room design and mechanicals fell far short in room 210. No heat in a subpar bathroom was no fun. The room size was enormous and the king bed was comfy but the pillows were too flat to be of much use. It

Is Radisson hotel hunted :)
What a fun thread to respond to! Thank you, all, for the excellent dialogue. Quickly, the answer is a firm "No". We purchased the hotel in 2005 and did a full mechanical restoration and guest room renovation at that time. The truly exciting news now is that we are almost complete with our sensational new design package for all guest rooms, provided by award winning Daroff Design. We have renovated every guest room twice now, and we have housed thousands and thousands of guests over the years. We don't have any sightings or good stories to pass along, although the overnight minor league baseball players like to prank each other on occasion and have created some fun myths. I can always be reached for further discussion!
