The first thing I always check is the beds when we get into the room. Hair in the sheets. What does that tell you?! Also, the chair right next to the bed should be cleaned or tossed to the trash. Disgusting!!! We quickly left the room with all our things & went to request a new room. There was no issues in getting one, but there was no apology given or anything from the clerk at the front desk. Got into the second room and well there was a huge stain on the ceiling from leaking water damage. Dirty carpet & mold in the shower. By this time we just decided if the sheets were clean we would just suck it up for the night as it was already late. We have a few more upcoming trips to the area & we honestly are thinking of going to a different hotel for those stays.

great location in central Scranton, making it easy to walk around, with quiet and comfortable rooms. The parking is next door but not really discounted. Breakfast choice was good, with friendly staff with made to order items. Value ok, we extend a night and weren't offered going rate but rather higher weekend rate. Also breakfast and parking are extra.

keep an eye on your expenses and monitor your card statements with a fine tooth comb as the service is very slow and they billed me on my card for stuff I paid in cash (alcohol) as my business card does not allow beer purchases

This isn't the level of many Hilton's, but I have to say everyone I interacted with at the hotel in person was wonderful. The place was busy every day with huge events going on and they handled them well. It was an ok breakfast buffet, but the real attraction is Chef Carl. He makes everyone feel welcome, funny, and willing to make sure everything is how you want it. You can feel his passion and dedication and it was great to meet him. Our housekeeper was very personable and kind. The front desk was always helpful and cheerful. Had the 2 room suite that was clean, spacious, and modern. The tv's are direct tv satellite tv so not the usual Hilton tv's with Netflix capabilities. Also for some reason the pool had a lot of sand in the pool like you normally see at a beach hotel. You can't beat the location as you can walk to everything in town. Overall I had a lot of fun in Scranton, it was a good price, and I was pleased.

One night stay for business overnight. Upon check in went up to room on 3rd floor. My room was adjoined with another room with what seemed like 2 family’s staying in it. It was very loud with kids screaming, running down halls and doors slamming shut from other family’s across the hallway. I went down to the desk and explained the situation, they said they would quiet them down. I went to the hotel bar and had dinner and drinks, bar staff was exceptional. After dinner I went back up to my room, now kids were crying, adults were screaming and doors on hall were constantly slamming. I called down and insisted on another room, they said they would quiet them down! After another 45 minutes of torture, I called the desk and said I was calling police or I get moved. They came right up with another room key on 7th floor which was quiet. In the morning I had a coffee and bagel at the Starbucks in the hotel with other business travelers when group of disheveled women with small kids came from elevators and put kids on bus. I am convinced they had a shelter available in this hotel. Which is fine, but do NOT have business travelers anywhere near this floor! I am shocked this happens at a Hilton hotel! I am second guessing ever booking another Hilton.

Stay was ok. Besides the hot tub being closed, pool need to be maintained. Go across the street to the bar this one is not worth the value. Customer service inside the hotel is great. Unfortunately I forgot something in the room and the contact with the hotel location is nonexistent. Tons of voicemails to other departments, call backs don’t exist just a horrible after experience. The customer support will file an inquiry but that doesn’t resolve the matter. I wouldn’t care expect for it was vehicle keys inside the jacket they found.

I am a Hilton diamond member and travel monthly. I have never stayed at this property and was looking forward to giving it a try. I was even more excited to have been offered an upgrade! Sadly, the upgrade may have ruined my opinion of the property. I was assigned one of the king suites with a jetted tub and separate living room and bedroom. First impression was okay, the room is oddly shaped in a way that the tv is off to the side from the couch. I could live with that. Then I pulled out my laptop to work but there was a microwave on the work desk! I also noted there were no USB jacks anywhere in this room. The bathroom was a whole other story. Mold and grime in the corners of the shower, very small shower to where you cannot turn around easily. One of the dispenser bottles of shampoo was also broken off the wall. The tub was stained and dirty, the walls have stains on them and the paper was pealing. The towels were on the opposite side of the shower. Stains and grime on the ceiling vent and somebody hired a contractor to paint who clearly didn’t know how to stay in the lines. The bedroom was okay except a very dusty odor that burned my throat. I turned off the wall unit for the hvac and it was better. More stains on the wall and the headboard was ripped and stained. I am glad I didn’t have a black light. If this is an upgrade, what do the other rooms look like? Breakfast was okay and the omelette was superb. Staff were generally kind although the manager on duty when I arrived at midnight did t give me a parking card as requested to enter and exit the parking garage. I give the overall property a 3 out of 5. Needs a remodel. Especially for the upgraded rooms.

Well, the carpeting in our room was original to when this hotel was built. It had to be. Filthy. Regardless, the staff was pleasant, the bar stocked and food served. Parking was next door in a garage. Sketchy. Glad I carry. We only spent one night in Joey Stumblebum's home town. That was enough.
