We needed one night in June as we were joining our expedition cruise the next day. I was underwhelmed by the hotel options in town and waited too long to get an airbnb. Connie allowed me to book the one night even tho they usually require a 2 night minimum. She charged me a small extra amount since we were only staying the one night. Our room was very clean and comfortable and included a very comfortable bed, a small sitting area with a couch, a cute little table and 2 chairs with places set for our breakfast, a nice little kitchenette and good size bathroom with nice shower. I'm not sure if there was air conditioning and the room was a bit warm; however, we opened the windows over the kitchen counter and the bathroom window and that was enough to cool the room. The deck offers a gorgeous view from which we enjoyed the sunset and our morning coffee. Breakfast included coffee, a choice of 2 cereals, bananas, and breakfast sandwiches which Connie had made a wrapped in the fridge, along with instructions on how to heat them in the toaster oven. There was also yogurt and milk. We took a walk in the morning on a path that runs along the shoreline. Be aware that the bnb is on a pretty steep hill so it's a steep walk down to the path and back up. Connie came down in the morning to chat with us and she was so pleasant and informative. I would recommend Jamestown Bay Inn BNB and would stay here again.

I am going to give this place an average rating for a few reasons. It’s not your usual B and B where you are served a fancy breakfast. The hostess has breakfast items available for you to make yourself. Toast. Instant oatmeal etc. the room was perfectly fine and clean. My biggest complaint is we called the owner before deciding on our cruise dates. We inquired about things to do in Sitka. Most of what she told us we could do was not available as “ it’s not tourist season “. We missed out on the Bishop House and a few other sites. Also not all the shops and restaurants are open because “ it’s not tourist season “. If the owner would have given us proper information we would have taken s later cruise.

I loved staying at the cute B&B in Sitka! I traveled for business and loved having a homey place to escape to every evening. It was very clean, the breakfast each morning was delicious, and the views are breathtaking. The owners were very nice. It was a great place to stay. I would love to go back.

I have stayed at Jamestown Bay Inn B&B several times, including just returning from another visit this week. There is so much to like about it, including: clean spacious rooms (one main dwelling, but also a second room if needed for extra sleepers); roomy, well equipped bathroom; incredible view; tasty treats; comfy bed with extra pillows; large hot tub; wifi; quiet, peaceful setting, etc. Unlike other residential B&Bs, guests here are provided a separate, private entrance and the guest suite is separate from other areas of the home. The owners are warm, gracious, and very knowledgeable about things to do in Sitka. Whether a romantic get-away, a writer's retreat, or a relaxing place to stay after a hard day of fishing, Jamestown Bay Inn is the best place to stay for a satisfying B&B experience in Sitka.

My husband and I just got back from Sitka. We loved our night at the Jamestown Bay Inn B & B. We were there during a time of year when it is rainy and chilly but we went hiking anyways - big adventure - and it was fabulous to come back to a hot tub on a deck overlooking the bay - didn't matter about the mist and drizzle - made it super fun. Also, the host was so nice and the food was great. We did eat all of it - hiking made us hungry : ). Plus there is a mini kitchen so we were able to cook our own dinner there.
