My wife and I would like to thank Mike and Roxanne for an amazing stay at Alaskas Big Salmon Lodge!! We had high expectations coming in. The food, cabins and fishing far exceeded them. We were fortunate to be the only guests at the lodge for the duration of our stay (due to covid cancellations) and were treated like royalty. The meals were superb and the desserts were to die for!! For our fishing trips we had a different caption each day, which allowed us to learn new styles and techniques from each. Big shout outs to Jake, Howie and Ben for great days on the water. The care and packaging of our fish by Mike and Roxanne was tip top. The fish stayed frozen from the lodge to our home in Phoenix. The cabins were super clean and the beds heavenly. All in all we had an exceptional experience and have already booked ahead for next year.

I have never had a bad day of catching fish in Sitka. What made this trip special was that we found Big Salmon Lodge. What really made this trip special was our host. Roxanne, Mike, and Caroline will work their butts off to make your stay the best experience possible. Whether you want to relax, sight see, or fish, look no further. My group has already book a Coho trip for 2021.

This lodge was amazing!!!! We can not wait to come back. I have been lazy and have not posted a review for Mike and his family. These folks are down home and wonderful!!! No bull sh_**here!! The accommodations are amazing and by far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we landed and were picked up these folks took care of us. The lodge was super clean and the food was amazing. The desserts are to die for!! I really can not speak enough as to how much these folks take care of their guests. It is an amazing place!!it is peaceful...quiet....and amazing!! The boat we got to take out to fish was fantastic. The Sitka sound is super fishey. Just come and check out our marks!!!! This was an experience I can not wait to bring folks out to experience, and for myself, book again!!!!!#chasntail

Had an amazing trip at Alaska's Big Salmon Lodge the last 4 days. They have a beautiful setup on an island in Sitka,AK, and as a full service lodge they were fantastic. Great food, great company, and very accommodating. Also, a huge thank you to Capt. Jake for putting us on the fish everyday. We caught everything...Coho, King, Pink, Chum, and Sockeye salmon (Kings were out of season so they were released immediately without bringing them onto the boat). We also caught halibut, lingcod, black rockfish and several other species of fish. Our group is headed home with approximately 350lbs of filets! The scenery was absolutely perfect. We saw whales, sea lions, porpoises, sea otters, and the highly protected albatross. I’ll be going back someday for sure.

I’ve been taking self guided trips for seven years. Wanted to try this lodge in a search for a new forever lodge. Mike, Roxanne, and Paige were accommodating beyond our needs. Accommodations looked brand new, had the most comfortable beds, and were well stocked. Roxanne is a great wonderful cook! My party of two did manage to wrangle 117lbs of fillets of sea bass, pinks, silvers, and one nice king. Planning on coming back next year in August to be more in the thick of silvers. The only issue we came across was the fuel dock being open from 0800-1700. Though we did discover our last day the fuel dock will reopen later if needed.
