The Mimslyn's Murder Mystery Dinner last night was a great evening. The play was fun; the food - and service! - were outstanding!!! My husband and I got different appetizers and entrees, and we each raved about our meals - kudos to the chef. Service was impeccable. Looking forward to February's event!

Regretably we could only stay one night at this beautiful, historic hotel. Service, room and food were all excellent, and it was a great bargain compared to most chains. Loved the choice of music and dining on the front porch...super relaxing. The bed was sox comfortable we didn't want to get up, and you can even order one of their... More

I was in the area for a family wedding. This hotel was perfect for the occasion. Being an older (1931) establishment the single room with a double bed was very small but fit my needs well. Nice view out the window, very clean and appointed well. The dining room had a great breakfast buffet for a reasonable price. I enjoyed... More

We stayed in the Hawksbill Cottage of the Mimslyn Inn. The Hawksbill is one of two cottages at the Inn with a private hot tub, which was our reason for staying there. The hot tub was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage also had a kitchen which was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our own... More

Stayed in one of the cabins. Restaurant great..."date night" was wonderful. Cabin A/C loud and interior layout needs reworking, especially bed headboard. Would recommend despite a few minor issues with room.

Spent a weekend here. I was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering there was a doorman which was an elegant touch. Staff at the front desk were very friendly. Room was clean and spacious. My wife and I dined at The Speakeasy in the lower level. Food was superb. If you order an entree you can get a bottle of wine for... More

Spent our 30th wedding anniversary here this weekend. So glad we did! The drive up to the hotel filled us with anticipation. Beautiful old majestic manor with white columns and a beautiful porch with rocking chairs. We were graciously welcomed but the staff. Somehow everyone knew we were celebrating our anniversary and we were congratulated by all staff members. We... More

We stayed just one night here prior to going to Shenandoah NP Skyline Drive. We could not have started our trip any better. This lovely historic inn met all our expectations, very comprehensive. The staff were professional, friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and well appointed inside and out. We ordered dinner from the Speakeasy menu with outdoor seating... More

Historic inn sits majestically high on the hill. Beautiful portico invites you to sit and enjoy the view. Comfortable rooms, warm and welcoming lobby. I've never been here without hearing Frank Sinatra in the lobby which adds to the overall charm.

Was happy to find this comfortable place to stay while doing the Luray triathlon. There was a glitch with my reservation and I didn't get the cottage I had originally booked, and that was a drag because my friend and I had to share a king bed instead of two queens. The staff were polite but not authentically friendly. The... More
