The Inn of the Shenandoah was the perfect spot for a mountain get away. Quiet, convenient to several Virginia wineries and within walking distance to several restaurants in the town of Luray. The inn keeper, Ann, is charming and a wonderful conversationalist. Her son, Larry, is the chef and created a delicious breakfast of fruit, an omelette filled with spinach,...

Drove in on a Saturday from DC. The inn keeper was as nice as can be. Orchid room was a Victorian style. The jacuzzi made my wife smile. Breakfast was five star. We will be back, we don't live far. Thank you all for the hospitality! Josh and Melissa

The Inn of the Shenandoah is a beautiful place to stay, very upscale in its design. Its very clean and has everything you would need; even shampoo and conditioner in the shower and a bottle of wine in the min-fridge. The large tub was wonderful with hot water and the king bed was comfortable. The innkeeper Ann is a wonderful...

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to stay for just one night (a Friday) earlier this month when we took a short trip to visit Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns. The Inn of the Shenandoah was available and convenient so we booked the French Country Cottage. Anne called us earlier on the day of our arrival...

The suite was magnificently decorated and VERY well maintained. There is obviously a lot of care taken before the arrival of guests. Another excellent surprise was the on-site "Chef" Merrigan amazing breakfast. starting with a fresh fruit plate and proceeding to a specially prepared fresh spinach omelete and special jalapeno biscuits set the pace for a great start of my...

Everything was just perfect from reserving the room to check out. Ann is such a delightful and energetic professional with a passion and it shows. We truly enjoyed our stay as we had stayed there 17 years ago. The hospitality was exceptional and the breakfast was incredible! We will definitely be back!

The garden suite on the lower level of the cottage, behind the main house, was exactly what we were looking for. I could go on and on about every thought out detail of the place, but I know that you will know what I mean as soon as you walk through and thank kind Celeste for showing you to it....

My husband and I checked into the Inn after ziplining at Bear Mountain. We were greeted by Ann who showed us around and to our room. It was clean, spacious, filled with snacks, beverages and a complimentary bottle of wine. The bathroom was huge, and even though it wasn't warm enough in March, the private patio was a nice touch....

We echo other reviewers in citing Ann, the innkeeper, for her charming manner and stories. The Orchid Room was quite spacious and comfortable. We used the jacuzzi as a welcome after a busy week in the city. Even though it was not quite spring, we took advantage of our balcony to sip wine and play guitar with the afternoon sun's...

I was doing a road trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and I was tired of staying in hotels along the way. So I searched and found this place. Ann was a great host. She chatted with me on the deck as I sipped my wine and wrote some in my journal, giving me some local history. Her recommendations for...
