The Inn of the Shenandoah is an elegantly remodeled Victorian home located in the heart of Luray. In typical European flair, antique glass windows elegantly adorn two mirroring dining and sitting rooms outfitted with beautiful crystal chandeliers. The Inn features three suites outfitted with jacuzzi tubs for two, with outdoor balconies, crystal chandeliers and king or queen beds. The Inn has a large back yard with gardens and is regularly used for special events and weddings. Guests may also choose to stay in the Cottage, directly behind the Inn, which houses two oversized suites with kitchenettes, Jacuzzi bathtubs, and private decks.

The Inn is lovely—quaint with Victorian charm, situated in the heart of downtown Luray. Lisabeth was a wonderful innkeeper and made our stay so pleasant. I have a gluten allergy, and she was so accommodating, making me gluten free french toast and having gluten free tea cake as

My husband and I attended a wedding in Luray this past weekend (April 14-15, 2018) and stayed overnight at The Inn. We couldn't have had a better experience. We were warmly greeted by Betsy when we arrived and she graciously showed us our room (the Orchid Suite) and the

My review pertains to my stay on November 22-25, 2017 in the downstairs unit of the "Riverside Cottages" building on Hawksbill Street owned and operated by the Inn of the Shenandoah. It should be made clear I did not stay in the main building that the Inn is most famous for, so

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that you were not fully satisfied with your stay. We actually do not have a property called "Riverside Cottages." You booked a stay at our least expensive room called the "Upper Riverwalk View." This room is significantly lower in price partly because it does not include breakfast and is located at a separate property approximately 1/2 mile away from the Inn. Regardless, we strive to ensure that every guest enjoys their stay. When you arrived with your elderly mother, we upgraded your stay to a ground level unit, at no cost to you. We would have loved to address your concerns during your 4-day stay but did not hear about them until after you departed and called demanding a discount. As you know, we gave you a full refund for your stay. We hope you will consider staying with us again another time.

When we arrived with Trip Advisor room confirmation in hand, the inn keeper (Ann) told us Trip Advisor had not notified her we were coming and they must have double booked us over another search engine. She managed to find another room for us in a different property across town.

Gary, thank you so much for your feedback on the Inn. I am so glad that you enjoyed our property and breakfast. I am truly sorry for the difficulty with your booking through TripAdvisor. We discontinued our listing with TripAdvisor about two weeks ago because we share your frustration with the failures of their system. We care deeply about our guests' experience and want them to have a wonderful time with us everytime. You can still book with us directly anytime - we've never had any problems with our own system. We hope you will stay with us again!

a marvel of victorian house well maintained, very friendly welcome and nice spacious room, clean and quiet, bath with hot tub (!). The only disadvantage was that the room outlets of the central A/C were disfunctional (couldn't close in bed room and was missing completely in
