What a great place to stay when you’re visiting the town of Luray! The owners are so welcoming and our visit was awesome. A perfect place to stay with a great breakfast served in the morning. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family!
We stayed for four nights last week to take in a new town and explore the beautiful local caverns(we did three of them). What a charming Bed and Breakfast! The breakfasts were fantastic. Also, Linda, Thank you for the pleasing and creative culinary variety with the breakfasts! The coffee was fresh and delicious. And the little sausages and fresh berries over yogurt(disclaimer: aforementioned sausages were NOT placed in yogurt) were something welcomed and magical to look forward to each morning. The room was great. We enjoyed the pigeons! The AC at night was very welcome, as temperatures reached 108F during the day. Parking situation was good. No problems. A definite consideration to return! : )
This was my second year staying at The Inn of the Shenandoah. Both times I stayed at the Boudoir King Suite. This time the shower had some major issues, the mini fridge froze everything that was put in it which was a bummer. Also the previous year for breakfast there was a conversation before they cooked breakfast. The communication isn't there any more. An email was sent for dietary restrictions. But not preferences. . For instance I don't like cheese but got a quiche the first morning. Second morning there was no conversation before breakfast was cooked. Only reason I had this expectation was because of the previous year I stayed there. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Beautiful location, gorgeous home, furniture, atmosphere, and delicious breakfast. Very friendly staff. Linda greeted us in the morning, and prepared a delicious, gourmet breakfast. At the end of our stay, Linda took a professional looking photo of Paul and I in the beautiful foyer with antique furniture and stairwell. We will enlarge the photo and place it in a frame for all to see in our living room. Thank you for a very pleasant experience. Paula and Paul
We would highly recommend the Inn. Although we don't live far away from Luray it was nice to get away and the breakfast was AMAZING!! If in the area we also highly recommend Dan's Steakhouse just up the road and if you like bluegrass music they play at Cooper's from 2-4 on Sunday's.
