The lodge was just 1/4 mile from the entrance of Sequoia National Park which was very convenient. The rooms were quaint, but clean and had a close proximity (wading distance) to the Kaweah River. A great restaurant is adjacent to the lodge that serves first-class meals with first-class service. The bar offers just about any libation you could conceive. Haileigh...

A main advantage of the lodge is the ability to be close to the park entrance. They are extremely friendly and thoughtful at the front dest. They are also spot on with the goody basket awaiting the tired family after a day among the trees, hiking, etc. The pool is just the ticket to relax. The fridge and microwave are...

Like all the other reviews staff was great and eager to please, decor out of date but the location trumps all. We had an issue with our A/C on one of the hottest weeks and no other rooms were available. The staff was claiing around trying to locate us a room and Lodge owner came to our room offered his...

My husband and I stayed here 2000 so a while ago but we loved it and the staff were so nice. It is right near the entrance to the park. The restaurant next store is ok a bit pricey for me we only ate there the night we arrived.

Just stayed at the Buckeye Tree Lodge with my family of five (three teenagers). The best money ever spent! Great location near Sequoia. Great fun at the Lodge with pool and "Nature's" waterslide in your backyard (the Kaweah River). AND, most importantly, fantastic hospitality by the whole staff! Sequoia National Park is amazing, but my three kids were having a...

The location was great for accessing Sequoia National Park, only a few minutes from the entrance. The staff were very accommodating of us even when we were running a bit late. The bed was comfortable, the room was nice. The view was excellent from our room out on the river, though we were in the park most of our time...

We stayed at the lodge on our way to seqouia forest. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a room overlooking the river with a nice little patio. The in room fridge, coffee maker (with fresh beans and a grinder!) and fruit basket were such nice touches! The only things that would make this place a 5 are:...

As another writer said, the rooms are dated. They do have flat screens in at least one room that has Satellite tv. I wish that they had more to offer in terms of amenities-they provided a fruit basket and a gas station pastry per day. Rooms also had a dated coffee maker plus grinder for their provided coffee beans. I...

Stayed here for a night after doing a whizz through the sequoia national park. Rooms are (as noted elsewhere) a bit dated but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The back lawn runs down to the river and the terrace is well cared for. Reception rent DVDs at a very reasonable $3 a night - but don't expect the latest releases. We...

Right off the entrance gate to Sequoia, an hour drive to the main sights. Nicely overlooking the river with some pretty mountains around. Nice pool which the kids enjoyed. We had a mother bear with two cubs in the parking lot which was amazing. Rooms however were quite dated - 70ies style - but clean. No real breakfast just some...
