We have been staying at the Buckeye Tree Lodge for over 25 years during visits to Sequoia National Park. Shannon and Christian are a delightful young couple who are the third owners since we have been coming. They are continuing the tradition of excellent service in a first rate location. With the north fork of the Kaweah River flowing through the property sitting on the patio or the balcony restores the soul! In addition to the rooms, the River House (home of former owners) offers a 3 bedroom/2 bath accommodation with a full kitchen and private balconies with superb views. Over the years our dogs also have received a warm welcome and found this a happy spot. The eco-friendly owners know the area well and can offer suggestions regarding the park, as well as, places to eat and visit in Three Rivers.

Lovely warm welcome at the Buckeye Tree Lodge, thoughtful little breakfast basket to set us up for the day & a lovely room with outdoor seating area overlooking the river & mountains. There's also a pool although the water was a bit cold to say I enjoyed my swim. The bathroom was compact & shower a bit weak (would also benefit from a shower screen rather than a curtain) but other than that the room was very clean & had everything we needed for our stay. The lodge is only a few minutes drive to Sequoia NP entrance & therefore a perfect base for exploring the park. We underestimated how far it was to Kings Canyon & didn't get to see that park but were able to see the main areas of Sequoia. There's a decent bar & restaurant next to the Buckeye, they give you a discount on food if you show your room key. If you want to eat elsewhere it's about a 15 minute drive to the other diners etc.

The staff were great and the room was extremely comfortable. the room and bathroom where clean. The heat/air worked well and kept us comfortable. Good place to lay your head after a 10 mile hike in the Sequoia's!

A very clean small hotel with no dinning but ol’buckeroo just down the road. We stayed in the falcon room that was very clean and tidy. So close to gates of Sequoia which is so handy. Smiling reception and friendly family feel from all the staff. Great find

We stayed at the Buckeye Tree Lodge for 2 nights and everything was absolutely perfect! We booked suite 5, that has access to the river! We arrived late and had no problems to find our way to the room! There was a cute basket with muffins and fruits, and there was also a coffee machine! It was sunny out so we enjoyed a nice breakfast on a table at the riverside! If you’re still hungry, you can have breakfast at the Gateway! A traditional American restaurant with delicious pancakes! The Lodge is the closest hotel to Sequoias National Park entrance! It was a perfect stay for us! It a definitely come back kind-of place!!
