This is a great place to stay if visiting the Sequoia National Park - the entrance is within a few minutes drive. We were a family of 5 and had a really spacious room. The beds are comfy, the rooms are quiet. You are provided with a breakfast basket with fruit, drinks and really lovely homemade muffins. There is a... More

We stayed in a 3-room unit with a large kitchen, balcony and living room. Pluses include: a great location by the river and close to the entrance to the national park; very comfortable beds and spacious accommodation. The key negative point was the disappointing service. The couple who checked us in was unwelcoming and cold, the oven in our kitchen... More

We spent 5 nights at the Lodge and would certainly do so again. This isn't your usual shiny, bland, generic hotel but is a family run lodge where the owners try very hard to make your stay pleasant. It is also the closest place to the entrance to the park and after spending a day walking or hiking in the... More

We experienced a very warm and friendly welcome. Everything of interest was explained in detail. The rooms are spacious, with everything you need (fridge, MW, TV, ...) in it. The sleeping comfort is very high, very good beds. No complaints at all concerning the noise of the near river, as some other visitors did. You can here it, but this... More

Stayed in room number seven. The river outback is beautiful. This hotel was the closest business to the park and access in and out was easy. Restaurant next door is a little pricey, but the food was good. I was looking for something clean and affordable and I was not disappointed. I also looked on trip advisor before I booked... More

This is a quaint place with clean rooms on the river. Our room had a sliding glass door to go out back to sit and enjoy! We ate dinner outside, watched nature, and enjoyed hearing the water. There was also a basket of fruit, homemade muffins, and juice in our room. Loved grinding the coffee beans for a fresh cup... More

We recently completed a wonderful 3 night stay at the Buckeye. It's a great location to the park entrance and Mineral King road to get to excellent hiking. It was clean and comfortable. It was, also cool...essential with the 110 temp! The staff was friendly and check in was smooth. You receive a breakfast basket each morning which is nice. My... More

Very comfortable rooms with nice breakfast basket (muffins, fruit and drinks) which was appreciated. Staff were very friendly and helpful with local recommendations. The pool was a much needed refresher at the end of a long, hot day in Sequoia NP. Also, nice to explore the river at the back of the lodge. We really enjoyed our stay and wished... More

My family and me we really enjoyed our staying at the Buckeye Tree Lodge. Clean room, nice bathroom, useful small kitchen... The best was the place next to the river and the swimming pool (there in the mountain can be really warm in summer). It's maybe the closest hotel to the south door of Sequoia National Park.

Very comfortable and excellent if you like chilling with nature by a river. Lots of lnsect, lizard, bird and fish life and very close to Sequoia NP. Restaurant next door was good for dinner and breakfast too. Thanks Dennis and co!
