If you fancy ants in your bathroom, maids entering your room whilst the "Do not disturb" sign is attached to the door and visible, smoke (from barbecue grills near rooms), Disheveled staff, and nonstandard motel arrangement, then this is the place for you. My family and I decided to stay here after much planning, choosing the rustic, old-fashioned, seemingly charming...

Our reception was friendly and positive. We were amazed to find that our cottage was actually two cottages with an adjoining door. So, we actually had two bedrooms, each with its own tv...and one with fridge and coffee maker. This suited us down to the ground! We had the first cottage as you come into the site (on the right)....

This is an older style motel with a laid back slower pace. The first thing you'll notice is the Adirondack style chairs in front of the rooms. Folks are outside having a beverage or coffee in the Am and enjoying life. Its quiet. Despite being near CA-4 very little traffic and you can hear the birds chirping in the morning...

By the time we arrived at Lazy J, we needed to wash clothes. The posted times were 12-9 pm. I was able to finish my load by 9 pm, but the clothes were still wet because the dryer is awful. The dryer is rusted and disgusting, but we found out that it also doesn't do the job. We had to...

I took a solo trip to Sequoia National Park and book this hotel on a last minute basis. Indeed I was overcharged for the two-night stay. Unfortunately my stay was not pleasant as other travelers had indicated. There was a slight odor in the room when I first walked in. Secondly, there were many uninvited guests (small critters) on the...

Short vacation to Sequoia/Kings Canyon. When we checked in Jason was very helpful with input on park roads and local places to eat.

This is not your ordinary motel. Surrounded on all sides by beautiful hills and meadows, set back well from the road, it's the perfect launch point for a visit to Sequoia and Kings Canyon. We stayed in a "kitchen cottage" with our two kids and dog. We had a full fridge, kitchen table, couch etc. There is a full DVD...

Family and dog friendly, very clean, inviting and cozy and more importantly nestled among a beautiful and breathtaking landscape. If felt as if we were in our own private cabin with all the necessary amenities. Excellent service. We'll definitely go back.
