Hello As owner of the Sequoia Motel I was happy to read you enjoyed your stay at our little roadside motel. Everything you wrote was familiar until I read the location "last place on right outside of Kernville" and that was quite a surprise. Our motel is in the town of Three Rivers 4 miles out side the gate of... More

I am still shocked by the prices we had to pay for a "motel" room in this area. While the price was competitive, it still is terribly high for what you receive. The room was clean but no AC means you have to leave your windows open. This means you hear every car pull up/leave. You hear every conversation of... More

Hello, I was surprised to read your review of our motel and wondered if you were not speaking of a different accommodation. The reason I suggest this is we have air conditioning in all our rooms, there are no phones in the rooms though we do have a phone available to our guests in the office and we do not... More

We were so happy to reach this motel after a long day hiking in Sequoia. Especially after driving the long windy descent to the valley in the dark. We had the end unit and it was quiet and we got a good night's rest before leaving early for the West Coast. This motel is great for those who are looking... More

Excellent location. I stayed at this motel for two nights. It's main appeal is convenience. It's five minutes from the gate of Sequoia National Park. It's clean. There is absolutely nothing added in these rooms for comfort and hospitality. The coffee is weak with powdered creamer, the towels feel like Brillo pads, the tv is small old tube style with... More

Location is good, and the price is right. The decor is dated and the wifi didn't work in our room. Staff was friendly and recommended good places to eat. They even put our drinks on ice for us while we were away hiking for the day.

Family-run motel close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park. We stayed three nights in two of their double rooms. Friendly staff, available on site whenever you need them. The rooms have a charming Americana decor that varies by the unit. Remodeling and updating seems to have kept the place up, though you may find a leaky shower door or... More

This ended up being a good place to stay. We don't always choose independents so were a little leery but very glad when we got there. (See other reviews for other nights in area) Spotlessly clean, roomy enough and actually charming. We liked parking by our door. Quiet at night and slept well. There's no breakfast but there's coffee in... More

Very clean and very friendly. Home atmosphere and close to the park. Great value. Would stay there again. Pool available to cool off of. Hot summer days. We loved sitting get out in the morning to enjoy our breakfast before we entered the park. Chris, the owner is amazing. She treats you like family.

Coming from Yosemite, we had a pleasant drive through the Sierra Nevada. We stayed one night in this motel to visit the Sequoia National Park which is roughly 45 minutes driving to the Giant Forest. The room was located in a cute separated small house, it was creating a great american movie atmosphere. Inside we rarely saw such a kitch... More
