We stayed in the studio unit for 2 nights . It was so clean and cozy. Plenty of room for my husband and I. We were steps away from a beautiful beach setup with lounge chairs and umbrellas . The river was so nice and water temperature refreshing. We loved our stay so much we wanted to add on another night because we just loved the property and river so much , but when we called Mars she said she was booked solid. Not surprising based on how awesome this resort is. We will definitely be back. Check in was so easy and not complicated at all. We truly enjoyed our stay and know you will have no regrets staying here. And believe me , I am very picky about where we stay on vacation!! Also, having a really nice porch to sit on to enjoy the river and Mountain View’s a big plus !

We stayed in the Panorama room for 3 nights at the end of June in the middle of the Covid crisis. The room has a view of the river with 2 queen beds and a day bed/sofa. The appealing part of the room was the full kitchen. We brought food to cook for two nights and did take out at the pizza place the third night. We packed lunches and made breakfast as well. It is a quick drive to the National Park and given the limited food/cooking options inside the park, we thought that this was a perfect choice. The river was warm enough to swim in and other than the town's residents who gain entrance to the river nearby, there were not any other tourists on the river. Plenty of calm areas along with some big boulders to jump into the water from. On a 2nd day, we backtracked and took a longer route (but shorter in time) to Kings Canyon. Like with other hotels right now, there was no housekeeping or breakfast, but a small concession to give up during these times.

OMG - if you stay at Rio Sierra Riverhouse you are in for a treat! We booked the Master, Panorama and River rooms for three days - all were spotless and had beautiful views. Our two grandsons ages 8 & 13 spent most of their time in the river. Covid-19 prevented us from having breakfast there but everything else was perfect. Mars made sure we had everything we needed daily. Enjoyed the views , the rocks but most of all .... the RIVER. Wow!

Last year for my boyfriend's birthday we stayed here for a week and headed up to the National Park. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mars who showed us around, told us about some local spots and took our order for the next days breakfast. We were also able to book the breakfast table for a certain time, which for us happened to be very early as we wanted to spend as much time in the park as possible. The next morning we were shown to our table, and let me tell you, I was shocked to see a full spread, coffee, tea, hot breads, little fresh baked sweet things, and just the best juice I've ever had. The staff were so friendly and kind, the cleaner would never come whilst we were in the room in order to not disturb us but did a superb job everyday as the place was spotless when we'd come back from the park. The atmosphere here was cute, cozy but the perfect amount of spacious. We had access to overhead fans, netting on the doors if we wanted to leave it open and fresh soaps everyday. On our last evening we bought pizza from a local restaurant and ate it by the river outback of the Riverhouse, oh yes I forgot to mention this charming little place has its own private beach where they host little night fires and general gatherings! Thank you to all the staff and Mars at the Rio Sierra Riverhouse for hosting us and making this such a special stay for us ♥

We were met by the owner on arrival who took us on a tour of the property and then onto our room. The room was spacious and well lit. It included a refrigerator and coffee maker. There was a ceiling fan in the room. The bathroom was large and there were plenty of nice linens available along with complimentary toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice. Although conveniently located on the main highway through town, the road noise was minimal. Parking was available close to the room. There are several eating spots nearby that are a short drive but not walking distance. If you are looking for a relaxing stay close to the Sequoia National Park, then look no further than the Rio Sierra Riverhouse. This was not a problem for us, but if a traveler has some mobility issues, be aware that there are stairs which must be negotiated when going to the rooms or moving about the property. We hope to return and stay longer some day.
