Our room was in an older building (reputedly 1800s) on the corner of the property. The room had a very nice quality about it topped with a kiva (wood burning fireplace) in the corner with copious wood supplied. Venue offers a shuttle via SUV to locations within two miles or so. Super handy to use.

The location, near the Square, is convenient to attractions, shopping and food. There is an underground parking garage; most convenient. The restaurant and bar are, as is the rest of the hotel, recently renovated and provide a great place for dinner or to enjoy a glass of wine and an appetizer. The Christmas season offers the famous decorations and luminaria... More

Stayed for a long weekend. We had a superb view (even on the 1st floor) of the Loretto Chapel. Almost everything was in walking distance which was nice as driving was a bit painful in the Plaza area. The hotel has a parking garage, but you pay for the privilege. When we visit again we are considering flying into Albuquerque... More

What a unique, lovely place! My trip was part business and part fun. On the "business" side, the facilities were very nice and the people who organized the conference I attended said the event planners were very accommodating. The food was great, and the server assigned to our room was able to arrange gluten-free and dairy-free food for me to... More

To experience the La Fonda on the Plaza is a sensory overload in Southwestern art. Every hallway, every nook and cranny is filled with paintings, prints, painted windows, carved and wrought staircases, and more. Even the headboards on the beds are works of art, each being painted in differing colors and designs. You never really need to leave the hotel... More

La Fonda on the Plaza is a work of art where you can spend the night. Much of the hotel, and its furnishings, were designed by John Gaw Meem, and Mary Jane Coulter, the Southwest's two most prominent architects. The hotel offers a free, docent guided tour of the art and architecture. Everything is just right at La Fonda.

Santa Fe is my new favorite city to visit, La Fonda is my new favorite hotel. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, to the moment I was checking out to leave, I loved every minute of my stay there. The food in the main dining room La Plazuela was fantastic, the waiters/waitress' are friendly and trained well, and... More

This fine old hotel has soaring ceilings in the lobby, a wonderful restaurant filled with light, and rooms, while small, have the style and charm of old New Mexico. we have stayed there several times with conventions and love the hustle and bustle that fill the lower floor and the peace and quiet of the rooms. Only a block from... More
