This was our first time staying at this hotel since Covid ---- it is good. Lobby area/bar are very good. Warm & relaxing with great service as well. We actually had dinner on the Plaza but came back here after dinner to sit and have a few glasses of wine.
We did not stay at Inn and Spa at Loretto as we actually live in Santa Fe. We do however very often eat at the restaurant or have drinks at the bar. Last Sunday we had brunch and I left my sunglasses on the table. I received a text from the person who waited on our table telling me she had found the glasses and would keep them for me. WELL, I am famous for forgetting sunglasses and this is the FIRST TIME EVER the person who helped us called to let me know!! NOT only was she wonderful but the front desk went out of their way to make sure my glasses were returned. THANK YOU to the lovely woman who helped us at the restaurant and also to Josh at the front desk for being so very generous with his time. I RECOMMEND the Inn HIGHLY!! Thank you!!
I arrived the day before Valentine's Day and they had about a foot of snow. The process was easy and the environment was nice. We had a luncheon on the following day and the venue was nice and full of Hispanic culture.
We made reservations for Christmas Eve at the restaurant. We spent over 20 minutes finding an opening and thought we were set. 4 days later we get a phone call that our reservation had been cancelled. When we call back we get no response. We have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. But now we are left to find a restaurant for Xmas Eve, even though we had booked and been confirmed. When we tried to reconcile the manager blew us off over and over. How can you make a reservation and cancel days later? And when we called the manager he could do nothing! How bout just finding us another restaurant? We will never go here again. We recommend you find another place. They obviously don’t care about their customers.
Of course the hotel is amazing without a pet but we had the opportunity to travel with our dog. Upon arrival the manager noticed us in the lobby, brought us waters and showed my husband a fenced in side yard he could take our dog to run off some energy while I checked us in. There was also a small sitting area out there with a fire pit we enjoyed during our visit so she could run around. The hotel was just the best. I would say it is a 5 star rating for sure due to service but gave it a 4 as it needs some updating in the rooms. Would 100% recommend hotel.
Stayed at Loretto over Thanksgiving weekend. This property and its staff are truly amazing. The rooms are spacious, bed’s extremely comfortable and overall service is great. You cannot go wrong staying here. We’ll be back, thanks.
Have stayed at this property 5-6 times in the past 8 years or so. First time since the pandemic. Glad to see that they have updated the rooms and hallways and prices remain competitive for the Fe. Service is excellent, valets are really on top of their area and the location is the best. The fitness center is subpar for a hotel of this level and in a weird location across the parking lot. Equipment is functional, though a bit sparse. The pool is apparently under reconstruction. Certainly worth a visit if you want to be near the Plaza.
It’s hard to keep blaming poor customer service on COVID, so I can’t give Loretta staff that “get out of jail card.” After checking in we were given a room that wasn’t what we reserved. We were told they would move us to our reserved room class. After a 30+ min wait they brought us to a room that wasn’t even cleaned from the last guests. We were told to wait again. The entire process to get us to our room lasted almost 2 hours. Mistakes happen, but excellent customer service corrects mistakes by pleasing the customer, not infuriating them further. The staff response to our experience was “sorry, we’re really busy today.” Gee thanks for telling me that for all of my troubles just trying to check in. There are many other fine hotels in Santa Fe at the same price point as Loretto. Stay at one where you’re appreciated as a customer instead of regarded as a burden because “we’re busy.”…
Beautiful hotel close to shopping and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The front desk was able to offer suggestions on places to eat and things to see. The breakfast in the Luminarias restaurant is a must!
Due to some extraordinary, unanticipated events; we arrived in Santa Fe the week of the balloon festival in Albuquerque without a hotel room. Thank goodness for DYLAN PULSIFER, the assistant general manager, he was the BEST. You can imagine that rooms are scant, if non existent during balloon festival week. We wanted to be downtown, have on-site parking and be in a nice facility. And we needed two beds. Dylan Pulsifer worked his magic. Loretto is very nice, comfortable, has a sort of funky/antiquey vibe. Our room was cleaned every day. We even had a little balcony to sit out on. Loved the bright magnifying mirror in bathroom. Lobby had good guitar music at night to go along with their amazing chocolate torte. Perfect downtown location. The first floor stores were amazing. But even more amazing were the valets. It was rainy a good bit of the time, so they were hopping with retrieving cars and dealing with Uber drivers. They were cheerful, friendly and had lots of helpful tour guide tips. A great place to stay. We will be back. Maybe Christmas!!…
