Ever since i ventured into the lobby of The Lodge with some questions during a day next door at the Santa Fe Spa I had a knowing that I wanted to and would stay here. The staff that day made a strong impression. This weekend I booked a night and the whole experience was tremendous. The staff (from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance workers) were all cordial, kind, humorous and excellent. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and well communicated. The room was spacious, well designed and immediately comforting. Energetically, the property vibrates with a relaxing and peaceful frequency. The layout has a great flow. The hot tub and pool were amazing. The guests I had the pleasure of meeting whilst soaking and swimming were open to conversation and co-created a wonderful experience, socially. This is a very affordable and treasure of a hotel. Will definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed two nights for a little baby moon getaway. The location was great and the room was cozy and just right. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub which were well maintained. The best part for me was the kindness of the staff. When we checked in, Karen at the front desk was so kind and accommodating. She offered me extra pillows to help me be more comfortable along with recommendations for things to do. Overall very pleased with our stay.

My mistake in staying here. Looked nice on the webpage but what a dump for the $200+ nightly rate. The rooms are very old - the equipment such as HVAC from the 60’s and the smell was cheap shampoo. Stay someplace else. I wish I did.

This hotel is outdated, over priced and unhelpful. I booked it for my sisters' trip to see Zozobra. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I really wanted them to have a special experience. It was anything but special. Check-in staff was rude and abrupt. I was asked to leave a credit card for incidentals, which I did. Later, when I was charged I was told that was a property charge, which covered "unlimited waters and the pool." The girls didn't use any of these, and in fact bought a case of waters because none were offered. The view which was supposed to be a feature of the hotel was of a dark, unsafe, ugly parking lot, and the room smelled of mold and even the lamps didn't work, and the phone to contact front desk didn't work. I wish I had booked ANY WHERE ELSE! This place makes our nice city look bad. SHAME ON YOU!

We paid the high price so we wouldn't have to drive to the flamenco show. Made reservations a month in advance with a request for a room within close proximity to parking and no stairs, as I have a handicap (not particularly noticeable). Upon arrival was told the room was at the total opposite side from the entry and parking, "but hey, you have an elevator to get upstairs" is what I was told by the lady at the desk. After walking down dirty halls with filthy, spider covered windows to look out at the pool we reached the dirty, smelly room with saggy beds and someone's used dental floss on the bathroom counter. Luckily we brought Clorax wipes and went over everything. The lady at the desk was not particularly concerned when we mentioned we were trying to avoid COVID and the room filth was pretty bad. There were three of us in the room but they left, oh so special, complimentary 2 tiny bottles of water for all of us to share. The flamenco show was fantastic and I would return for it but will not ever stay there again unless they do some major cleaning and renovation.

This is one of our favorite properties in Santa Fe for a few reasons, Karen is one of the top reasons. She really owns the request and went above and beyond for us. There were a few issues with our reservation (central reservations creates problems for the on-site staff) and Karen dug in and straighten everything out. I just feel better seeing her behind the desk. The employees make this property special
