Issac and the gals at the front desk made our stay terrific!! We tried to stay one more night and Issac and the gals there tried to accommodate us. However, you were completely sold out and we needed to go to Albequerque anyway, so Isaac was so nice to lead us to one of your other properties "Marriott Albuquerque." I believe that Issac used to manage at that hotel as well. Any way it was a fantastic recommendation and we had a lovely stay. I am sorry that this review (my second or third of your hotel staff )is so late, but I did keep in on my list of things to do:) Thank you again for everything!

Beautiful property, large rooms, friendly staff. I don’t understand the negative reviews. Rooms are decorated in a rustic Santa Fe style and very spacious and clean. Reception and Valet was very helpful when we checked in. You are walking distance to town and Canyon Road. The only thing we didn’t like was the $130 redemption fee that was not disclosed on the Bonvoy site. We went back and looked again and couldn’t not find it anywhere. We have been platinum members for years and have never seen this fee before. Other than that we had no complaints.

I was on the first floor of the guest rooms in the main Building. I needed to get up early because I was with a tour group. The noise was so loud coming out of the bar. I called the front desk to complain and I was told that he was going to tell them to quite down. That never happened. I went down to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. She said she would move me to a different room, but I would of had to pack my luggage and I had everything all set for your tour the next day. Then She told me that the bar closed at 11, so The noise would would stop. I went in the bar at 11:00 and asked the bartender if they were closing at 11:00. He told me that’s when they can order there last drinks. At 11:45 I could still hear the very loud noise coming out of the bar. Maybe if they shut the bar door the noise would not have been so loud. But, they had no respect for the people in the hotel rooms trying to relax and get some sleep. I was so disappointed and upset.

We have been staying with La Posada every several years, for the past 20 years and had always loved it. But, this last stay will be our last. Its very sad that this jewel of Santa Fe has been allowed to fall into such a state of disrepair! The rooms are horribly dated, carpets are filthy, in room basic amenities are rediculously sub par, more like a Motel 6 than an upscale resort ( especially when paying $400 to $800 per night), such as paper coffee cups, only one bath robe and only one wash cloth, NO room service and mis-matched furniture. The resort buildings and furnishings are also sadly deteriorated: faded outdoor umbrellas, dirty pool furniture, cheap "kmart style" table and chairs on the private patios, damaged and worn flooring in the main building, filthy fireplace surround in main bar/lounge. Add to all this that you pay a reasonable resort fee and the pool is absolutely tiny and falling apart. Oh well, another once good one down the drain!

My husband treated me to a facial and what was supposed to have been a deep tissue massage. Although everyone was kind, the massage was far from deep tissue. At best a nice Swedish massage. After I realized it was supposed to have been deep tissue, I called the spa only to be questioned about my knowledge of massages. Price was not adjusted. Manager never called as I was told they would.

We stayed here last week on our way back home for just a brief respite. I watch for opportunities to stay in historic places and this was no exception. We were fortunate to be assigned one of the original casitas which were added when the original mansion was converted to a lodging. It became a draw for artists and writers and that becomes part of the pleasure of wandering the grounds. The original rooms were smaller and some have fireplaces with wood provided. Amenities were by noxema and were larger. We both prefer a very firm bed due to back issues and the mattress in our room did not meet this expectation, so if you have similar concerns, you might inquire at checkin We ate and drank in the restaurants where service was plentiful, the food very tasty, and the prices for a resort were reasonable. Finally the staff were exceptional in every instance, ready to welcome us and make our stay wonderful. We will definitely return to this location so close to Santa Fe market center.

We’ve stayed at La Posada at least two or three times in the past – very disappointed this trip with our room number 160. Needed update — stained carpet, cracked bathtub, dim lights. Ridiculous for this caliber of a hotel and paying what we did. Staff is courteous and helpful.

My best friend and I take two trips a year together. We live in different states so we try to find places to meet in the middle. We were thrilled to visit Santa Fe and stay at a hotel within the Marriott Bonvoy family. The hotel is severely understaffed. But this is not stopping them from hosting large events. The weekend we were there a wedding was taking place which ate up their attention - paraphrased line from the front desk. 1. The hotel advertises that it offers Room Service. But it does not. This matters because we only book hotels that offer that service. We would have stayed somewhere else if they no longer were offering it. 2. The pool area was disgusting. Wet used towels were strewn all about the area. It had rained the night before and nothing was straightened up and there were no fresh towels for the area. People kept asking the Spa for towels and they were running out themselves. The bartender opened late, said he wasn't prepared that day because he thought it would be closed. So the bar was half stocked and he was overwhelmed. 3. The hotel has "Spa" in its name but you cannot count on their Spa being open! We booked this trip because we wanted to stay on-site and enjoy the facilities. We booked treatments and were looking forward to them. We were told less than 24 hours prior to our appointments that the Spa was closed due to staffing shortages. That was it. No offer to rebook us elsewhere. No offer for credit for future use. Not even a "Have a few drinks on us at the bar for your inconvenience." Nothing. Just, "Sorry." By this point, we were wildly disappointed with our experience. We were met with shoulder shrugs and "Sorrys" but not solutions or compensation. Overall, the valet team was awesome but that is where my compliments end for that hotel. The front desk and spa staff could not have cared less that they were unable to assist us. I only had one meal at the hotel and it was the last day of the trip. My order was messed up and I was asked if "it was okay anyway" or if I wanted to get what I actually ordered. What?!? It was par for the course for the whole experience but man I was hoping they could get one thing right. When I checked out I let the attendant know how disappointed I was with my stay and she removed the "resort fee" from the bill. $160 out of a $1200 bill. A drop in the bucket from the whole price. Times are tough right now in the service industry. And I understand weddings bring in alot of money for resorts. But a hotel should not book guests not involved with the events if they will not be able to provide them with the customer service expected from a hotel that is $400 + a night. In conclusion, I recommend staying ANYWHERE else in Santa Fe. Cause the pool was gross, the service was absolute garbage (outside of Valet), and the Spa was closed/canceled on us last minute.

We got married at La Posada in May 2022. The hotel is stunning and is in a perfect spot in downtown Santa Fe. La Posada has the picture-perfect Santa Fe ambiance that we were searching for, and the food was incredible. We had so many wedding guests comment on how great the food was and how beautiful the reception was.
