Reasonable prices, impeccable room, and very good breakfast. Walt was a very nice host and offered suggestions on what to do and where to eat. 10 min walk from the Plaza and the restaurants we had planned to go to, so you can forget the car unless you are exploring places outside of Santa Fe. Definitely recommended
We were a family group of seven and stayed in three rooms at Four Kachinas. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. All three rooms opened onto a lovely little courtyard where we spent afternoons regrouping and relaxing after sightseeing around Santa Fe. Attached to the courtyard is the dining room where breakfast is served - you can choose to sit inside or outside for breakfast. Coffee, fresh baked goods, yogurt, cereals are all self-serve, and each table gets a generous plate of fresh fruit. A substantial hot dish is served individually - always delicious! The inn is within easy walking distance of Santa Fe Plaza and Canyon Road. Walt was a gracious host and we would definitely stay here again!
What a wonderful peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming. Facilities are wonderful. Walking distance from restaurants and activities. This was our second time to visit and will definitely return.
We spent 6 nights at this beautiful, quiet and well located bed and breakfast and did not want to leave. Our Zia room was one of the most comfortable rooms we have experienced and the owners and staff do their utmost to make sure that you enjoy your stay. As we were leaving for the airport, our rental car wouldn’t start. Walt, one of the Four Kachinas owners, drove us in his car so we wouldn’t miss our plane. His prompt and helpful response got us to the airport on time and was very appreciated. We loved Santa Fe and highly recommend Four Kachinas.
Enjoyed a short stay at the Four Kachinas B&B, my third stay. Hosts are personable and interact with their guests, recommending and commenting on places and activities guests would like, especially restaurants.
We just enjoyed our first night at Four Kachinas Inn and already look forward to our next visit! Our pet friendly room was attached to a small private patio, perfect for our Golden Retriever. The inn is beautifully appointed and located near great restaurants. We walked to dinner, a pleasant half mile stroll. Excellent location! The owner, Walt, and the two ladies who work there are helpful and accommodating. Often, the true measure of a business is how it handles a problem. Four Kachinas measures up nicely. As my husband and i went to shower, we discovered we had no hot water. Despite following Walt's directions to coax the hot water on, the shower still ran cool. Walt gave us a percentage off our bill and said he would call a plumber. He brought a refund check to our room right away. Everyone has plumbing problems sometime, and Four Kachinas handled the situation well.…
We stayed here for 2 nights and the experience far exceeded our expectations! The breakfast was unsurpassed (choice of a hot meal supplemented with fresh fruit, sweet breads, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee) and powered us through our explorations of Santa Fe well into the afternoon. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with fresh, thick towels. Our generous host, Walt, gave us several spot-on dining recommendations that enhanced our experience in Santa Fe. Finally, I can't say enough about the location; quiet yet just a short walk to everywhere we wanted to go. We never used our car for the whole weekend!
Our stay at The Four Kachinas Inn was wonderful. From the cozy, clean and well appointed room to the great breakfasts, it was a perfect place to spend our 42nd anniversary. We spent four nights at the Inn and we’re treated to a different delicious breakfast each day, which was enhanced by our charming host and the other guests at the Inn. The historical building which is the main house where we stayed was updated so that we had all the creature comforts. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!
Such a cute little B&B within walking distance of old town Santa Fe. The owners and staff are so nice and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The breakfasts were always delicious and filling!! Little sitting areas tucked around the property were nice for visiting and enjoying a glass of wine. The character of the home the owners have kept is phenomenal; plastered walls, original woodwork & doors, picture rails!! The added bonus of their collection of art and Native American textiles rivaled the museums. I am already planning a return visit!
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Four Kachinas for the second half of our honeymoon. We rented a room that included a private patio in addition to the shared courtyard, which we very much enjoyed during the evening hours for a night cap and breathing in that fresh mountain air. The breakfast was not only delicious each day, but healthy and hearty - perfect if you have a day of hiking, site seeing, or museum-going ahead of you. Our favorite breakfast was the Green Chile Soufflé, but I think we both most enjoyed the fresh chilled fruit plate and piñon coffee the most! After staying in a separate location near the Plaza earlier in the week, it was lovely to explore the south part of town, which was very quiet and a little less touristy. Four Kachinas is nestled just off Paseo de Peralta - a mean thoroughfare in town - so it's easy to get anywhere you'd like to go and there's a ton of fun to explore right in that neighborhood - there's also a pharmacy and market just a block away if you need anything! Walt was a fantastic host and we so enjoyed meeting the dachshunds during our check-in. We're looking forward to returning in the future.…
