What a lovely stay we had at Farolito Inn! Walt and Wayne do a fantastic job of keeping their guests well fed and well informed. The breakfasts were abundant and yummy, as were the snacks. We stayed in the Delgado room, where we slept like babies (and I’m a light sleeper!) During this ‘recovery period’ of the pandemic (July 2020), they went the extra mile to ensure that the property (rooms and public areas) was uber safe and clean. We will return to El Farolito on our next trip to Santa Fe. Thanks so much, guys!

Absolutely my favorite place to stay in SF. Close to everything, Wayne the Innkeeper has such an attention to detail, from the mattresses in each room to the delicious breakfast each morning. I’ve been bringing my family here for tears. We will keep coming back again and again.

Stayed here for 2 nights for my husbands 65th birthday. Perfect place to stay during covid. We stayed in Garcia #4 which was perfect. It is a free standing building with a private patio, so no one is ever anywhere near you. The room itself was clean and well kept. Breakfast was served on the patio at the entrance, tables were socially distanced and food was served with masks on. Only one other group eating breakfast when we did the first morning, and none the second day so felt very safe. Walt was very welcoming, and we really appreciated the map he gave us with restaurants that had outdoor dining marked on it. This is a difficult time to travel, but this place did everything right.

The El Farolito Inn is the perfect place to stay for an authentic New Mexico experience. Wayne was very friendly and hospitable and served the most delicious breakfasts! The way the inn is set up is also great during the pandemic, as all rooms have direct outdoor access and a private patio. The rooms were very clean and included complimentary coffee and water. We loved being able to enjoy the cozy fireplace that was set up everyday upon request; it added so much comfort to the space! When we arrived, Wayne was very helpful in providing suggestions for food and activities in the Santa Fe area. If we come back to Santa Fe, we'll be staying here again.

We stayed at El Farolito 2 nights, our Casita was beautiful, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed (area maps, coffee, water, soft drinks, robes, extra blankets/pillows, privacy, etc). Wayne and his staff were friendly and professional. The morning breakfast offered a large variety, 2 delicious organic local coffees, 3 flavors of juices, tons of tea choices, cereals, yogurt, fresh cut fruit, freshly baked fruit/nut bread, and their morning hot breakfast special with your coice of toast. They pay close attention to food allergies. Throughout the day there are drinks and snacks available. It is located in a perfect location, just far enough from the Plaza to avoid the crowds, but only about a 10 min walk to attractions and restaurants. We hope we get the chance to visit again 😊

After having stayed in Santa Fe many times, at properties ranging from private homes to large hotels, El Farolito is top of my list for a place to stay on our next trip. We stayed in Casita Garcia, a standalone casita with private courtyard. We loved the tranquility and privacy combined with walkable proximity to all of the heart of Santa Fe. Wayne proved knowledgeable, accommodating, and easy going. In the midst of COVID, we appreciated Wayne's candor about the local regulatory environment, and the options available to us (for instance, for levels of daily service to our room). We felt very comfortable with the precautions being taken. But, most of all, we loved the room, the site, and the amazing breakfasts and coffee! We look forward to returning.

We stayed over night for a quick getaway from Albuquerque. My husband and I did Meow Wolf and then stayed over in this charming B&B. They were accommodating and let us check in early. We had planned to find a nice place to have dinner, but our room was so cozy with the fire place. We ended up just ordering pizza and enjoying the ambiance of the room and watching movies all night. It was so relaxing. The bed was comfortable. The next morning we had local Pinon coffee and a beautiful fresh fruit plate in the lobby. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a quaint and romantic place in the heart of Santa Fe. The parking is also secure. We picked up an extra bundle of wood at the grocery store and used all of that plus what was provided. The mini fridge was micro, but we just put stuff on the porch because it was cold outside.

We spent a few days here over the Xmas holiday. Our room was basically a studio apartment! Couch/fireplace area, kitchenette (sink, fridge, coffeemaker), desk, dresser, huge king bed, and normal size bathroom. Couches could be updated as they were lumpy. King bed was comfy and we were plenty toasty overnight. Blackout blinds/curtains on all windows so you have complete privacy. Separate keyed entry for each room/suite. At night, there is a keypad for entry to property, so you feel secure at night. Quiet neighborhood. Easy 10 minute walk to plaza area. Parking towards back of property (in gated area). Breakfast each morning was usually an egg-based casserole served with fruit and a starch.

Wonderful to have our own casita. Private secure parking. Spectacular breakfasts worth the price of the room alone! Casita was wonderful and well-appointed. I felt I was experiencing the true New Mexico in this unit Comfortable beds and linens. My only caveat is that with the wood-burning fireplace the entire unit smelled strongly of wood smoke. We did not use the fireplace; however the smell lingered. I did have concerns about all my clothing and luggage absorbing this scent. It was quite warm the weekend we stayed and the AC unit had not yet been turned on. Spoke with innkeeper about this and he quickly accommodated us. He also repaired a previously unworking air purifier in the room, which decreased the smell greatly. Convenient location with walk ability to most features of the city. Shopping, dining, and Canyon Road.

We come to Santa Fe almost every year and have stayed in many different places. This place was a real find and I know we will be returning. Beautifully decorated rooms that provide everything a discening traveler might want or need. I came to Santa Fe primarily for the International Folk Art Market which was in easy walking distance of the inn. It's clear the owners take great pride in their establishment and they have paid attention to many important details. Our room was large, quiet and comfortable and breakfasts were excellent. The common area was also beautifully decorated.

Are there steps into the hotel? ADA rooms? How far is the parking lot from the room?
Answer from Maria J L
Dixon, California36 contributions7 helpful votes
The only other important information to consider is that the parking lot is actually covered by gravel, which would be next to impossible to traverse in a wheelchair or walker. It might be possible to be dropped off at the door of the casita and take the one step up into it's patio and another small one through it's front door (although some don't have the step up).

Just wondering what the bathrooms are like. Do any of the rooms have tubs?
Answer from Wohlerguy
Santa Fe, New Mexico334 contributions353 helpful votes
There was a tub shower combo in our room. The bathroom was very tight, and a bit on the tired side.
Answer from Santa Fe Local
Santa Fe, New Mexico2 contributions4 helpful votes
All of the rooms have private bathrooms with tub/shower combinations and Mexican tile surrounds. I would choose Delgado as it's at the end of the building and has a nice little private patio. Both rooms have wood-burning fireplaces that are used until May 1. Starting May 1, all rooms also have A/C.
