My husband and I had a delightful stay at Alexander/Nicholas Inn's Cottage. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and personable. From helping us deal with our arrival in the snowstorm to booking massages, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. The short walk to the Hacienda Nicholas was beautiful and breakfasts were delightful. They even had our favorite teas and gluten free options and the most amazing blueberry French toast casserole. Each day the cottage was cleaned and kiva fireplace restocked and ready for a cozy fire. Being able to walk to the shops, museums, and restaurants was ideal since our rental car couldn't handle the snow. We would highly recommend their award-winning Absolute Nirvana spa for treatments too. We are looking forward to returning to Santa Fe and enjoying the hospitality at the Cottage or another room at the Inn again.

We’ve stayed in the casita, not far from the main hotel. The casita is not very spacious, but just enough for the two of us. In the morning we’ve the fresh coffee in our room. Breakfast is served in the main hotel nearby. Good for a short morning walk. Breakfast was delicious! There’s a private parking space at the casita, so can walk to the Plaza (a 10 minute walk to the Plaza). We definitely go back to this place.

We are so pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay in the private and quiet Casita, and were pleased with the breakfast service. You are correct in writing that the sitting room downstairs is not spacious, but so cozy with the kiva fireplace and large comfy armchairs. Guests love waking up in the upstairs bedroom, with birdsong coming in from all the big trees just outside the windows on all four sides of the room. We look forward to seeing you the next time you are in Santa Fe! All the best, Carolyn

this property is centrally located within walking distance to the center of old santa fe. the complex has a couple of B&B properties. we stayed in the Magdelaine a lovely old home very comfortable and quiet. we were in the morning glory room and would highly recommend it. breakfast every morning was generous and delicious. each evening there is a wine and cheese session. this property is also right across the street from La Posada resort a large resort property with several bars and restaurants. the art work at La Posada is some of the finest in Santa Fe. Sara the curator very helpful in securing art pieces.

Overall, we loved staying in The Cottage. Pros: Pre-trip, all questions were answered promptly. My husband and I agreed that out of all the B&Bs and hotels, they had the best breakfast. Fresh baked goods, yummy coffee, a new hot meal option everyday, and fruit, to name some of the options. The privacy was great. The price was wonderful, we even got a special deal as we stayed during off season. We compared a lot of other options, and the price was definitely more than fair. We opted out of renting a car. We were a few blocks away from the downtown and felt more apart of the neighborhood. We walked everywhere which was great as the weather was warmer than normal for the time of year. We used the fireplace two times. The staff were very helpful and interested in assisting in helping us find things to do. Everything was very cozy and well decorated. Jacuzzi tub was amazing and so relaxing! A bit difficult to get in being about 6 months pregnant. Would not recommend if you have a disability or movement limitations. We both loved how the Inn welcomed dogs and families, not common by any means! Wine and cheese hour was awesome and definitely a great perk. We would definitely stay here again. Cons: We had to check-in late in the dark. We had some trouble finding The Cottage, but it wasn’t awful. The address on Google maps is not correct. This made it a little difficult for our tour guide and Lyft driver to find it. Room service did not refresh our towels even though we put them on the floor. We asked for more firewood, and it was damp so the fire did not start well. They do have a smart tv but it is only hooked up to cable and not Netflix or other apps. Being pregnant and having to get up several times a night to use the bathroom, it would’ve been nice to have it on the same floor as the master. I knew this beforehand but something to think about. It would’ve been nice to have more kitchen supplies such as more pots and pans, cutting board, measuring cups, flour, honey, veggie oil, or butter/butter substitute as supplies was pretty limited, or even a cookbook of local cuisine. They would definitely improve that experience. We have stayed at places that do this and really appreciated that. We only cooked once and would’ve done more if we had more supplies. We were staying over Super Bowl Sunday. I walked over to go to the wine and Cheese hour, and, sadly, there was no one there. Wish we would’ve been notified of this. Overall, we highly recommend it and would suggest this place to our friends and family.

Our time at the Cottage at Alexander's Inn was exactly what we had in mind for our quick trip to Santa Fe. It was important to us that we find a quaint place, full of Santa Fe charm and decor. We definitely found it and more at the Cottage! Great location, walking distance to many shops and restaurants & Old Town. The hospitality and service we received during our stay was over the top. We immediately felt welcomed by Gabrielle, who gave us a lovely tour while making us feel like special guests. The happy hour was a nice touch that we thoroughly enjoyed. Again, the staff made us feel at home and were a joy to talk with. Also loved interacting with other guests. The breakfast was so good! Authentic New Mexican cuisine with healthy options & rich with flavor. Carolyn and the ladies who served us breakfast went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Carolyn adds a personal touch that made us fall in love with her B&B even more. Their homemade granola is delicious! Carolyn offered to email us the recipe, which was sitting in my email inbox 24 hours later. We will definitely be back!
