We stayed at Rancho Gallina for a long weekend in February, and enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay. The ranch itself is gorgeous, with plenty of space to roam around, let the New Mexico sun warm your face, and enjoy the mountain air - or stargaze from the hot tub at night. Our room was lovely - clean and comfortable,... More

I can't give Leslie and Mitch credit for the perfect weather we had for a winter weekend getaway from Chicago, but tip my hat to them for everything else. Sitting by the cozy woodstove with a delicious cocktail in the evening, christening the fire pit down the path behind the barn with some toasted marshmallows and chocolate, stargazing on a... More

Located just south of Santa Fe, Rancho Gallina was the perfect stop on our mini-tour for four through northern New Mexico. We are long-time New Mexico residents and often take short overnight trips from our home in Albuquerque. This was one of the best experiences we've had. The historic property, dating back to the 1930's, has been impeccably renovated. Our... More

I needed a place for two guests at Christmas, so booked a room at Rancho Gallina. Perfect! My guests worked with Leslie and Mitch ahead of their visit for the five adults and two children staying at my house to have Christmas Day Brunch at Rancho Gallina. We enjoyed their other guests--very interesting people--had a generous and delicious meal, and... More

Mitch and Leslie were wonderful hosts. The room was a great size and comfy. I was visiting relatives who live only two miles away, so it was very convenient. On Christmas morning my family, which consisted on 7 adults and two children, were given a wonderful breakfast and the feeling was like being at someone's home. It was very cold... More

On a trip with childhood friends, we shared two rooms at Rancho Gallina for a very reasonable rate. The thoughtful furnishings and large common spaces were inviting and warm. Our breakfasts (and a special dinner prepared for us one evening) were nothing short of spectacular -- with local ingredients from the Rancho and nearby sources, plus stories of where the... More

This is a difficult review to write, as we ended up not staying here. We were so disappointed in the shabby appearance of the grounds and the starkness of our room, we found accommodations elsewhere. It looked nothing like the pictures and was in much need of some weeding and general tidying up. The area where we were to eat... More

Kay - We are so sorry you had an unfavorable impression of our home and the ranch in general. While this is not your typical Santa Fe Inn, we have tried to keep it authentic to the region, the history of the property and the high-desert landscape. This is definitely a rustic eco-retreat, and the desert plants self-sow in the... More

Mitch and Leslie make you feel like a welcome guest in their home. The ranch is rustic and comfortable, and the understated yet clear eco-friendly atmosphere is appreciated. Breakfast is top rate, due in part to the fact that Mitch is a trained chef and both owners seek local and unique organic ingredients for the meals. We will revisit.

I attended a workshop (I didn't stay overnight) at Rancho Gallina last weekend. Although I live just up the road, I hadn't been there since it had been converted into a B & B. It's previous incarnations include a glass etching studio and an art school. It is delightfully charming and rural, in the best sense of the word. Santa... More

I taught a workshop this past weekend on Jin Shin Jyutsu for You and Your Animal Companions. My students stayed at the b and b, we had our classroom here, ate lunch here and basically took advantage of every aspect of Mitch and Leslie's hospitality. What a wonderful experience! They were welcoming and accommodating in every moment.... from fires in... More

We loved hosting you and your students! Animal lovers, nature lovers, and an all around down-to-earth crew. It would be wonderful to have you back - and even better if you took time to relax here at the ranch before or after the retreat. More
