We decided to revisit the B&B where we celebrated our 2nd anniversary, for our 25th! Every bit as romantic a place for the long time loves, as the young loves. The room was the same one we had shared those many years ago...beautifully decorated with antiques, and the patio is nicely landscaped. We were within walking distance to everything Santa... More

Walking in the door of the pinon room was like coming home. This was one of the most welcoming places we ever stayed. the room was neat and clean, just like home. The bed was just like ours at home. I think you won't find a better [place to stay. The staff were most kind and most helpful, they were... More

This was our second time to stay at the Madeleine, and we were just as impressed as the first time. The property is beautiful and so close to everything in the historic district. And the breakfasts! We so enjoy the courtesy, care and attention of Carolyn and her staff. It's like going home when we visit.

Built in 1886 by a local railroad tycoon, George Cuyler Preston, and just a block of 'the square', we love this place. Each time we stay in the Nicolas Suite, a spacious, well appointed, in a comfortable adobe structure that was once the Hacienda's kitchen, located next to the Queen Anne style Madeleine. The daily changing hot breakfast was well-done,... More

My daughters and I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Recently, I asked my daughter where she wanted to go for her 24th birthday. I thought for certain she would wish to leave town and go on a vacation to another state. However, she answered my question, by driving us to the Madeleine. "Are you sure?" I asked. My daughter,... An excellent BnB for location and facilities in a moderate price range. There are several sets of rooms. Any would be nice, I expect. Close to Plaza and gallery row for easy walking. Only about 3 or 4 blocks to historic plaza. One street over is Canyon St, the street for art galleries. There is a nice little inside courtyard... More

I took my daughter to Santa Fe for spring break and we stayed at the Madeleine. It was perfect for us. The room was large enough for us to spread out and my daughter enjoyed the window nook for hours of reading. The staff are amazing. Carolyn the innkeeper was very helpful to us in many ways. The first evening... More

My husband and I really prefer the homey, historic charm of bed and breakfast inns when we travel. Our recent stay ay the Madeline did not disappoint. From our huge, cozy bed in the Columbine room, we watched the Easter sunrise through 1880's stained glass and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast and wonderful conversation with the staff and the other guests.... We've stayed at The Madeleine a few times now, every time we come to/through Santa Fe. Each room is beautifully and uniquely appointed, the beds and pillows are wonderful, and the breakfasts terrific. This last time we participated in the cocktail hour, which was also fun. Finally, all of the staff are friendly, helpful and very service oriented. Each room... More
