Forget boring hotels and motels and move into this 19th century railroad baron's home. Perfectly situated on a short dead-end spur off Palace Ave, an easy walk to the Plaza. For our third visit to Santa Fe, the innkeeper and staff made us at home for three nights, with access to the kitchen as needed, homemade cookies and refreshments every... More

Met friends here to celebrate our anniversary and this was our first visit to Santa Fe. We could not have chosen a better inn! Our suite was large and charming, earth friendly amenities and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable! Everyone we encountered was warm and friendly, intent on making our stay as wonderful as possible. And it was!... More

Staying at the Madeleine was a delight. Staff members were gracious and helpful, breakfasts were wonderful, the room itself was clean, quiet, comfortable, and very attractive, and the location was perfect. Information provided, about Santa Fe and the surrounding area, was particularly useful and well presented. We would happily recommend The Madeleine, and would also happily return for another stay.... I am not a big “reviewer” or blogger, but sometimes life presents those rarest experiences of joy that compel me to contribute and tell nothing but the truth and simply gush about Madeline Inn and it’s mysterious, beautiful, former ballerina, and gracious host Carolyn. The food was delectable, I napped in the dappled sunlight in the wicker patio chair, and... More

Wonderful experience! The place is beautiful and quaint! The breakfasts were completely delicious! the staff was warm, kind, friendly and gracious! I had a massage that was one of the best I've ever received in my life! the only downside was that the place was so great that I didn't want to leave it to go see the rest of... More

We decided to revisit the B&B where we celebrated our 2nd anniversary, for our 25th! Every bit as romantic a place for the long time loves, as the young loves. The room was the same one we had shared those many years ago...beautifully decorated with antiques, and the patio is nicely landscaped. We were within walking distance to everything Santa... More

Walking in the door of the pinon room was like coming home. This was one of the most welcoming places we ever stayed. the room was neat and clean, just like home. The bed was just like ours at home. I think you won't find a better [place to stay. The staff were most kind and most helpful, they were... More

This was our second time to stay at the Madeleine, and we were just as impressed as the first time. The property is beautiful and so close to everything in the historic district. And the breakfasts! We so enjoy the courtesy, care and attention of Carolyn and her staff. It's like going home when we visit.

Built in 1886 by a local railroad tycoon, George Cuyler Preston, and just a block of 'the square', we love this place. Each time we stay in the Nicolas Suite, a spacious, well appointed, in a comfortable adobe structure that was once the Hacienda's kitchen, located next to the Queen Anne style Madeleine. The daily changing hot breakfast was well-done,... More

My daughters and I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Recently, I asked my daughter where she wanted to go for her 24th birthday. I thought for certain she would wish to leave town and go on a vacation to another state. However, she answered my question, by driving us to the Madeleine. "Are you sure?" I asked. My daughter,...
