My wife and I spent a weekend at the Inn of the Anasazi to do something to celebrate our anniversary during the C-19 lockdowns. New Mexico has some of the most draconian C-19 restrictions in the country, so restaurants are closed as are many businesses. The hotel was somewhat full, and staff was minimal and stretched thin. Despite this, virtually every member of the hotel staff was delightful and gave exceptional service. Marta and Maria on the front desk were amazing. Despite having to check guests in, valet their cars, take their room service orders, act as telephone operators and concierge they were cheerful and delightful in every interaction. New Mexico might not be the best choice for travel as long as they remain as restricted as they currently are and have been for some time, but Inn of the Anasazi will remain a great choice if you do come. Hopefully they and the rest of the hospitality industry in New Mexico will survive.…
This is one of my favorite places in Santa Fe, NM. Maria at the front desk was awesome!!!!! Maria was professional, knowledgeable, kind and gracious. Maria made my stay on Christmas Day a memorable experience. Maria's advice on ordering a meal before the in-room dining closed for the evening since I was arriving to the hotel late was spot on.
We love the Inn of the Anasazi. Stayed there many years. Still a great place to stay, even in the midst of Covid19. Loved the location Great room, high quality amenities and appointments Room service was a treat
Adorable southwestern style hotel with a staff to be complimented. Truly accommodating under tough restrictions. The room with a fireplace made the snow outside a super sweet experience. We are grateful for the welcoming bottle of Patron Thanks for making our short stay memorable. And thanks to our travel agent. Lindsey Hirsch♥️. You’re the best.
Despite concerns about traveling during this unusual time, my sister and I received excellent customer service from the Rosewood in advance of our trip that gave us confidence that we should stick with our plan and travel to Santa Fe. We’re both Rosewood loyalists and have had exceptional experiences at their other properties, so we were excited to visit their Santa Fe property. As two working moms, we were so looking forward to a rare Rosewood escape for the weekend. However, the moment we pulled up to the hotel, we knew this was not what we expected of a Rosewood. The front desk was chaotic with no offers made to help with our luggage. We also learned that the hotel restaurant was closed by overhearing them telling another guest. That information clearly should have been shared with guests prior to arrival. The hotel itself also felt tired and in disrepair. We found the front desk were neither friendly nor helpful when it came to any recommendations about the city. Each time we arrived back to the hotel or left, no one even acknowledged our presence. The bright spots of the weekend were our interactions with the food and beverage staff, who took the time to talk with us and made us feel welcome. They nailed the Rosewood customer service difference, but it was missed everywhere else. These are crazy times that we are living in and I know the impact on the hospitality industry is great. However, my complaints are not about a lack of staff, but rather a lack of customer service. Simply put, this was not a $500-a-night experience, and it wasn’t even remotely close to a Rosewood customer experience, which doesn't cost anything and should be universal - - no matter which property you choose. Our stay at the Inn felt foreign to what we have come to love so much about staying at their hotels.…
