The hotel was in a good area. It was just a very unpleasant room. Beds were comfortable linen was clean but the floors were very dirty and the carpet was stained horribly. Like stated above the hairdryer when I was turned on almost caught on fire. It was a lot to pay for what we got

Hotel's Favorite
I really do not understand some of the reviews here. We stayed 2 nights at the Hilton near the Santa Fe Historic Square before moving here after taking a day trip to Taos. Plus, I was intrigued by the lovely photos of the pool online and wanted some sun time. Luckily, the pool had just opened the week before. I thought the pool was wonderful and the area was super clean and well-maintained. It isn't a huge pool, but it was resort-like to me. Upon arrival we were welcomed by great staff at the desk and were thanked for being a loyal Diamond member. As a result, we were also upgraded to a room with a kiva and balcony overlooking part of the golf course and mountains. Room was impeccable - not one thing to complain about here. We used our $30 HH credits for breakfast at Iguana Cafe. Best breakfast and service I've had in a long time. No, not everything is open, but there was more opened than expected per other reviews. As for the Casino, it is the cleanest I've ever been in. No smoking and almost all slots had safety dividers between them as a Covid precaution. It is huge and I felt like I was in Vegas here, but there were limited tables open and no craps table on the night we stayed. I can't recommend this place enough and would come back in a heartbeat. Eat at Gabriel's one exit south if you don't want to pay the prices at the Sage restaurant for dinner.

I walked into casino about the same time as a guy who ended up overdosing on casino floor. So they assumed he was my friend. Cuffed me, drug me over to guy while he was convulsing on floor. Kept asking me what he took. He had a gun and warrants. They held me on floor cuffed for a very long time. I pleaded for them to watch video of my arrival alone. Took hours. Sat in police car like a criminal. My girl friend was calling over and over, calls went unanswered. So eventually hours later I was let go after they watched my arrival alone. But not before searching me, looking through my car windows forever looking for anything to get me with so they wouldn’t have to admit fault. All because of incompetent hotel security falsely accusing me. After letting me go knowing I had nothing to do with that guy they yelled out. Be careful who you associate with. Just to cover their butts. No apology no nada just 3 hours handcuffed thinking I was going to jail for no reason. Can’t get this out of my head. Have nightmares now. These guys are no good. Can’t apologize. Are one in the same with the local reservation police. If you come here and aren’t lucky you will loose more than your money.

The property is beautiful-about 20 minutes from downtown beautiful Sante Fe. Entry way is lovely, greeted by “beyond the call of duty” bellmen. They act as concierges which are absent at this hotel. Front desk, no matter who was on duty, need a real shift in attitude. Curt, unwelcoming, hurried, did I say unwelcoming? The hotel is vast - a long flight from NYC, I was tired, and wasn’t prepared for a long winding worn path to the room no matter where you are booked. Although the facade looks new and cared for, and the art inside is astounding, the rooms are just blah. Way overpriced, the restaurants are a debacle, the golf course was a disappointment, too, small and “a, that’s it?” Waiters, again, unwelcoming, and the food was, in each on site restaurant, a true disappointment. I would never recommend this hotel. Hilton should be ashamed of itself. I think if the staff had a different attitude - I could give it 2 more stars. But….

We had stayed here in 2017, and decided to return because our experience was at that time, quite wonderful. Unfortunately, that is not the case any longer. The casino was depressing with its low ceilings and crowded machines. There was NO POKER ROOM, and no mention of this at check-in or on the website. Most of the restaurants were closed, so that we had to eat at a bar in the casino. Since seating in the bar was limited, we had sit AT the bar, which was a blessing in disguise: The bartenders were 2 of the ONLY professional and friendly staff we encoutered, and they also served excellent drinks and food! That being said, I will complement the bell-man at check-in, who was friendly yet very formal. But the staff at the reservation desk appeared bored and resentful of having to talk to anyone Everyone else, other than housekeeping, seemed overworked, tired and were somewhat surly, if not rude. The grounds, and entire hotel seemed as though management was cutting corners. My husband is a Hilton Honors member. This is the first time we have had a negative experience at one of their resorts

Getting run down and unkept. My Patio had a huge wasp nest under one of the chairs and when I sat in it I was stung 3 times on the legs. I went to have breakfast at 7am (when they were suppose to open) and the hostess informed me that the kitchen was about 15minutes from being ready to open. This has always been our favorite quick getaway, So sorry to see this happen. Hilton honors member!

This Hilton had very high ratings but we found it all to be a do-it-yourself experience. You arrive and there are no porters - just two luggage trolleys for a hotel with over 100 rooms, the wheels are too small to maneuver it easily and it is heavy and hard to push. There was never anyone at reception at any hour but eventually they come out to tell you there is no housekeeping unless you ask for it, there is no concierge, if you want to have your boarding passes printed for your flight they direct you to the self service business center. Cocktails are available by the pool - you get them from the inside bar and carry them out. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and in good condition.

First - I am a Gold Member with Hilton and spend most of my life in hotels - so listen to what I have to say.....If you are 100 years old or near to it - THIS IS A GREAT PLACE - if you are under that age ---RUN AWAY. If you would like to have room service or even a snack from the hotel store you had better order during early bird hours before 5pm or go hungry. Even better - there is not one restaurant near the "resort" to order Door Dash! Grab your walker and get to dinner at 3pm to beat the rush. Just to make the stay even better.....Not one hotel employee said hello or tried to answer a question. Stay in downtown Santa Fe if you have a life and don't want to spend a lot of money or don't want to starve or be ignored by hotel staff.
