Detailed Reviews
I just returned from spending 4 nights at this Hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. The room, hallway, lobby, and dining area were very clean and well maintained. Several niceties were discovered too, like purified water dispenser in the lobby area, recycling in the lobby, in the room, and at an entrance door. They make their beds the proper way, enveloping the blanket, and provide complementary bottled water in your room everyday. Plenty of umbrellas in the lobby for that sudden Santa Fe shower are a nice perk. They offer a shuttle service to and from restaurants within a 1 mile radius, which is fantastic if you do not feel like walking or taking your own vehicle. Now I will get to the best part of my visit; the employees. What a genuinely kind group of people. I would like to thank a few people from the front desk. Terry is THE most cheerful person you'll ever meet, Rachel, Heydi and Darla who also fantastic full of smiles and helpful hints to navigating the area. Destiny was so great with her help at the desk, as well as navigating the best parking place for my vehicle. She does it all. My thanks also to the room attendants who do a superb job, and just as kind as ever.
Though the connected restaurant, Joe's Tequila Bar, is run independently, the staff encompasses the same genuine kindness and helpfulness. I especially enjoyed chatting it up with David (aka Steve, just to me) one of the few super bartenders and attendants. The food is very good, and I found the pricing reasonable. The morning breakfast was super, and Reyes makes it extra wonderful. Her, along with the other dining attendants, start your morning off right, and your cup will never be empty. I also had the pleasure getting to know a nice young man who was attending to the outdoor seating area. I believe his name was Isaah, but I may be mistaken. Just a super nice person.
Lastly, before I left, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Joe, in the lobby. When I told him how much I enjoyed my stay, the first thing out of his mouth was his appreciation to his staff, and many kind words were shared afterwards. This Inn is special, and when I return to this magical city, I will never stay anywhere else.

This was our first trip to Santa Fe. Reviewing hotels online before the trip, it was difficult to distinguish between hotels. We were so fortunate to have selected the Inn on the Alameda. Location? Fantastic! Across the street is a mini river park with picnic spots, beyond that cool art galleries with sculptures outdoors which was great for a morning walk. Loads of restaurants were only a few blocks away and when we were tired from a day of activity, we at onsite at Joe's Tequila Bar - great food and cocktails. The hotel itself was wonderful. Our room was large with a gas fireplace. Nice to have the ambience of a fireplace with the ease of flipping a switch. The bed was so comfy with nice crisp sheets that satisfied this sheet snob. The in-room mini-fridge kept our drinks really cold. One small touch that I appreciated was that there were two robes in the room. Too often we find only one robe when we travel in spite of booking as a couple. Be sure to take advantage of breakfast! There was such a variety! The buffet was kept well stocked and the food hot. You can eat your breakfast in the restaurant or in the library area. If you are really lucky, you can score a seat in front of one of the two real fireplaces. Finally, Reyes and Irma were wonderful breakfast hosts providing a warm welcome and great start for each day.

The lobby area the breakfast area which also serves as the restaurant and bar are very nice. Breakfast buffet is slightly above average. The location is very good for the Santa Fe area.
The rooms are typical hotel and the one I stayed in was somewhat larger than most hotel rooms so thumbs up for that. The bath area was slightly larger. I personally don't like to pull curtains for the shower/tub. Most hotels in the $300 price rage have up graded to glass shower doors.
I was annoyed that this is a multi-building hotel with a walkway between the buildings which are not really connected. I was on the second floor of the last building and the stairs are not for the physically impaired. There is an elevator at the end of the building, but I found it inconvenient to use. My personal preference is not to stay in hotels with multi buildings and had I know this would have picked a different property.
There is parking but the spaces are tight. Driving a large SUV made this a challenge. The lines marking the spaces I believe are narrow to accommodate more vehicles. With a smaller car this is fine. After checking in there was only one space in the lot where my room was, and I could not get the SUV in the space. I had to park near the front of the building and drag my luggage to the room. For a few dollars more I could have stayed where valet parking was available and saved a great deal of hassle. Lesson learned. My advice is to park don't move the car and take advantage of the hotel shuttle.
The shuttle service was very good, and the driver had good recommendations for eating at local restaurants. Thumbs up for the shuttle service. Two thumbs up for the breakfast buffet and the people working it did a very good job of making sure you had anything you needed.
Would I stay here again no. The inconvenience of the parking accommodations and the split buildings for the rooms are enough to look elsewhere.

My sister and I stayed here on our recent visit to Santa Fe, and we were treated like royalty. The front desk staff, the folks who gave us shuttle rides, and Ms. Reyes in the restaurant were kind and helpful throughout. Our room was kept spotless and was quite comfortable, and we loved being out on the patio in the morning and evening. I would never stay anywhere else in the city, and neither should you!

This a quiet and cozy spot central to the sights. The outdoor and public areas are near pristine, and as other reviewers have said, the breakfast spread is fantastic. The only negatives to note had to do with the particular room we were given. Noise from traffic was noticeable during the night in our room, the mattresses need to be replaced as we could feel springs, and we had a near-constant buzzing sound. We would definitely return, but would try for a different room.

The room was very comfortable and well-appointed. We had a coffeemaker, nice toiletries, a small patio, daily housekeeping, and rooms include a very nice free breakfast. Everyone who worked there was so nice. It's a short, <10 minute walk to get to the plaza and super close to Canyon Rd galleries. They also have plenty of free parking for guests.

We arrived on November 3rd with another couple. This trip was to attend the Albuquerque Balloon festival, tour the sights of Santa Fe and the surrounding area. This hotel is a gem. Extremely friendly staff willing to meet your needs, fantastic hotel accommodations and a great location within Santa Fe. Rooms well appointed, restaurant/bar cozy and friendly. Our rate included a breakfast buffet which comprised of almost anything you would desire. The Inn is within a short ten-minute walk of downtown Santa Fe. Fabulous location with a reasonable price.
As mentioned, the staff were amazing and willing to meet your needs. One person in particular stands out. Robert Morrison in Joe’s Tequila bar. We asked him several questions regarding the Balloon festival as this was our first visit. Robert spent at least 10 -15 minutes to answer everything. His answers and advice upgraded our Ballon festival experience from ordinary to extraordinary. Topics included departure time, where to catch the bus, route to the bus and where to go within the venue to experience the festival.

Pros: Large, tastefully decorated room with balcony. Super comfortable bed. Fabulous location just a short walk into town (which we preferred to staying in town). Hotel provides a complimentary shuttle that is easy to access. Joe’s Tequila Bar is a great option for dinner or drinks. On site laundry and really nice fitness center also available.
Meh: Breakfast was uninspiring and virtually the same every day. We overheard a guest remark that breakfast was much better 2 years ago. Hotel seems to attract an older 60+ clientele, although locals do stop by Joe’s in the evening.
Cons: as the woman at reception told me “our rates are constantly changing.” Do not pay more than $300 for a King room at this hotel. We were suckered into booking early and thus paid $110 more per night than the online rate on the day of our stay. We did not realize this until it was too late to do anything about it.
In summary, great Santa Fe hotel. Just don’t pay more than $300 and keep checking the rates even after you make your reservation!

Having their own shuttle was a great service and meant we never needed to move our car while we explored Santa Fe.

The Inn on the Alameda was just great. We loved our spacious, clean, and well-decorated, well-maintained room no. 152 and the adequate parking spaces. There are plugs for charging of cell phones in all the important places. The heater/air conditioner was fast and efficient. The hotel is just a short 10 minute walk from the city square. The buffet breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, delicious Danish pastries, home-made croissants. It was easy to roll our 6 suitcases from the adjacent parking area up a ramp to the lobby and our room. The Alameda runs along the river. Great price, great value!

The Inn happily reminds everyone that we are a pet friendly property. We know that with some families, pets are included everywhere they go ! If you are traveling with your pet to Santa Fe, make sure to call us about a pet friendly room first!
Their policy is that they will clean the rooms when you ask them to. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t ask them to clean the room as we didn’t want anyone in the room, although their maids wear masks and gloves. We were impressed by how clean the room was when we got there. My wife went over key contact areas with alcohol wipes and said everything was clean.
