Two clean spacious rooms; very conveniently located; good amenities including well stocked kitchen, friendly staff, great breakfast. Very pet friendly. Doors locks and knobs need a little more maintenance attention.
We booked at Tucker Guest house for a overnight stay in an all-too-brief visit to the beautiful San Juan’s. From the moment we booked we were impressed with the high quality service we received, however we were particularly grateful with the flexibility that Patrick and the Tucker team displayed when we learned our morning sea plane flight from Seattle was cancelled due to weather. As a result of the cancellation we had to catch the ferry over from Anacortes and arrived a few hours later than originally planned, but still wanted to make time for a sea kayak tour before our dinner reservation. To help us make up time Patrick arranged for packed lunches from CoHo restaurant and had these waiting for us in our room, so that we could dump our bags, grab our lunches and go! The lunches were fantastic, and we made up a good amount of time as well. The accommodations where well appointed and very comfortable. The beds were great and we all had an excellent sleep, waking up hungry for the delicious Tucker breakfast. The breakfast food was divine ( the best home-made granola we’ve ever had, walnut and maple French toast, bacon and cantaloupe with smoked salt. Delicious!). After an excellent sleep and a tasty meal we were all energized for another day out exploring the beautiful island and surrounds. Thanks Patrick for making our stay at Friday Harbor particularly memorable!…
We and another couple stayed at the Tucker House Inn and all of us enjoyed our rooms and the amenities. They have off street parking which is a plus and the location is perfect for walking to shops and restaurants in town. Breakfast is included and is either delivered to your room or served in their dining room. We had a bit of a problem the first day as we didn't hear the knock on the door so no food was delivered until I complained about it. From then on, we walked to the dining room. I have some dietary restrictions and one morning I couldn't eat the baked dish. I asked if I could just get the eggs and ham and that is what I was served. The same small portion as everyone else at the table that also got the baked dish. Pretty cheap. They did give us breakfast to take with us on the ferry as we were leaving early. Once we got on the ferry and I opened my food, it was loaded with the things I cannot eat. Really petty. Recommended with reservations.…
Tucker House was the ideal place to stay while on Friday Harbor for us. Our room was like staying in a relative's guest room- tidy and cozy with a lovely big soaking tub in the bathroom. Breakfast was family style so you got to meet other diverse guests from around the world which we quite enjoyed. Tucker House provides bikes to explore the island which we took full advantage of as we embarked on a journey to Roche Harbor (wear a helmet and bring water- it is farther than you think :-) ). The nice lady who booked for us over the phone made wonderful suggestions not only for our time on the island but for our trip to Seattle too! She was super friendly and we took her advice which proved to be spot on for everything. The only other time we encountered staff was at breakfast and check-in; everyone was friendly. We did eat at Coho too and would recommend it for dining one evening during your stay. Overall, next time we return to Friday Harbor, we will be staying at Tucker House.…
We stayed in the Roche Harbor Guesthouse. The few dollars extra were more than rewarded by the private hot tun and breakfast delivery. A lovely, quiet and picturesque inn with wonderful staff. Looking forward to returning!
