We roosted here for four nights because it was available when other places we considered were not. From the booking process to our departure our stay was handled by John with the utmost of professionalism and caring. We felt like we were treated like family. The property was well maintained and had just about anything one could ask for from a B & B. The amenities were complete from snacks to toiletries and if we needed anything John or Sherry were at the ready to try to provide it. It was a most pleasant stay and we highly recommend Trumpeter to our fellow travelers.

Room Tip: Front downstairs room is probably the quietest. Away from the kitchen is recommended.

I would highly recommend this place for 2 reasons. 1) The amazing location and the impeccable condition/maintenance of the property and 2) The attentiveness and graciousness of the innkeeper. Even though I had gone there by myself, the owner made me absolutely comfortable and his friendly demeanor makes you feel welcome.

The new owners of the Trumpeters Inn in were a joy to be with! The room was comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and their conversation was great! The cookies at the end of the day were a lovely treat as well. Their property is fascinating with fun farm animals and gorgeous dogs!

Having never been to San Juan Island, I did not expect this beautiful country property! My husband booked the stay and I wasn't aware that there would be horses, alpacas, a llama, dogs, gardens, and a pond. The location is so quiet that all you hear are the horses, yet we were were only a quick ride from Friday Harbor. The room was beautiful, very nicely upgraded bathroom, plenty of places to charge my electronic leashes. With the windows open there was a nice breeze in the room. We enjoyed this location so much I would return in a heartbeat and stay longer. We sat next to the pond on the swing with a glass of wine and watched the afternoon roll into evening. Unfortunately missed breakfast but had an extra cookie for the trip to the ferry. I know breakfast would have been wonderful because the cookies were yummy. I couldn't stop smiling the entire stay!
