What a grand surprise! I had never been to San Juan Island until this past week. Stayed two days at Harrison House with my family and it was fantastic. The staff is responsive, friendly and wonderfully talented. The breakfasts are killer and they serve homemade desserts, as well; what a delicious bonus! This B&B seems overpriced for what it is and the B&B website descriptions were far better than the actual experience. Shaw Suite was our room and it was basically a basement unit that was right next to their parking lot where you have to keep the blind down at all times for privacy. The bathroom was the worst part with... More

The Shaw Suite is a cozy studio on the ground level. Because it is a bit smaller than our other suites, it is our value suite. We are fastidious about our housekeeping in the guest rooms and throughout the Inn. As a Green Hotel, located on an Island, we have made many changes to be eco-minded. This season, we purchased... We enjoyed watching one of their videos, brewing tea from our stocked cupboard, riding the bikes, eating a superb breakfast, and a superb dinner at their Coho restaurant! Very friendly owners and staff! So convenient to the harbor and shops!

Hi! Thank you for spending your honeymoon with us. We are glad that you enjoyed our breakfast service. It sounds like you were staying in the Roche Harbor Cottage, one of the three honeymoon suites at the Harrison House. We are sorry the hot tub wasn't working your last night with us. Next time, please do not hesitate to call.... More

Withing walking distance of the ferry boat for sure. Not what I am used to as a business traveler. The building is 100+ years old it seems so that is different. The help, the food, the location, are all great. They have some bicycles and kayaks you can use if you stay there. Did I mention the breakfeast? Great! Great!... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Roche Harbor Cottage with our two children (ages 9 & 11) and thoroughly enjoyed our spring break. Upon arrival, our hostess greeted us warmly and showed us around the place, gave us tips on where to eat, what amenities we could use, etc. I had read previous reviews that stated that the private hot... When we arrived, we were greeted the host, however, she didn't give us a warm and fuzzy greeting. We were given a pretty nice room, but having young kids, were weren't allowed to dine at the table for breakfast with other guests. Our breakfast was delivered to our room, but was just ok. I like B&B's because it's fun to... More

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay. The Harrison House is family-friendly. We try to respect our guests who are traveling without children as well. Many of our families prefer to have breakfast delivered to their suite - particularly with little ones - or teenagers who love to sleep in. We do invite older well-behaved... More

My mom, sister, and I stayed at the Harrison House for 4 nights. Our room had a private hot tub and a really nice livingroom and kitchen. The staff was eager to fix anything we brought up, including fixing our hot tub settings when it wouldn't heat up. Breakfast was included in the price, and was either delivered to our... More

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us. We so appreciate your feedback. We always have a plain scramble or cereal at the ready for those who prefer something simpler in the morning. It is... More

Had a lovely one night stay -great view of the water-wonderful breakfast. My only concern occurred after the trip-the owner called to inquire about the doorknob that was missing from the bathroom-asking if we might have it! The doorknob was missing-since we were there only 1 night, we hadn't bothered to complain-I assumed the management would have noted the problem... More

HI! I felt terrible when I read your message. My call was not intended to make your feel bad or accuse you of taking the door knob. We loose remotes and keys as a matter of course. That doorknob has been particularly difficult. I have tried my best to repair the knob to preserve the historic hardware. I thought it... More
