A local lady I talked to on the ferry recommended I check this place out to stay. I was more than impressed with all the saftey things they do for their guests. They do encourage remote check in (but helped me in person when needed). The room was immaculate and they even had a disinfectant and towels for it in the room for my use if needed or desired. I asked for extra coffee and tea. They hung them on the door knob in a plastic bag. They even had complimentry bikes you could take but made sure to clean them well after any uses. The staff there did everything they could to help and make my stay as nice as possible in these trying times. I'm not sure I have ever been in a cleaner hotel room. So glad I was told about this place. Wish I could have stayed longer. I know they will be much better with pool' hot tub and spa amenities when the virus is behind us

We arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning for a multi-day kayaking trip. Location: We selected this property because it is only a few blocks up the hill from the Ferry landing, and we were unsure if we would take our car. There are many places to eat within walking distance. This is important because even though there is parking at Earthbox Inn, there is very limited parking at Friday Harbor. Room: Our room was spotless! Our bed was very comfortable. When I turned on the shower, it was the right temperature immediately, and it was nice not having to wait for it to get hot. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room, but it is quite small. My only criticism is that the walls were thin, and I could hear the T.V. of a neighbor. They turned if off(or down) before I wanted to sleep, so this did not turn out to be a problem. Other than that, it was very quiet. Earth Box has a strict noise restrictions for quests and also supplies ear plugs. The wifi was great. Covid 19: The property has remote check-in, which included sending a scanned copy of my driver's license, so we did not have any direct contact with any employees. The Inn's corridors are outside, so we did not come into close contact with other guests. The pool was not open. Check out was also remote. We were instructed to leave our keys in our room, and were emailed our receipt.

Last year I went to the San Juan Island for a nice Fall getaway. I booked a hotel stay at the Earthbox Inn & Spa and was glad they offered parking with the stay. It was a long trip up there with a 5 hour drive and then the ferry ride over. When we arrived we were greeted with a very kind and helpful front desk employee who quickly checked us in and showed us where our room was located on the property. The room was clean and comfortable and we found everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The location was great and we were able to just walk around the town from the hotel and found some great restaurants and shops to check-out. On day 2 we decided to drive around the island and it is really a stunning place with beautiful views and just feels like you are in a postcard. We had a wonderful visit and I look forward to going back again (hopefully next year!) and we will likely book at the Earthbox Inn & Spa again.

This appears to be an older hotel that has been very nicely remodeled at some point. We especially enjoyed the indoor pool and comfy spa. The beds had SIX PILLOWS! I was in heaven. The hotel is just up the street a couple of blocks from shops and a nice place to have breakfast called "...... Bay". We enjoyed the stay at this hotel.

My wife and I stayed in the Sea Place room over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend and had a wonderful visit to San Juan Island. The room had a lofted ceiling with a skylight, kitchenette, two queen beds that seemed like kings, sofa and a large dining room table. The beds were so comfortable I could have stayed curled up in my room all day if not for all the fun things there are to explore. Everything was well stocked and very clean. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful (shout out to Indigo). The tea and coffee was always hot and delicious. We stocked up at the gift store on some of our favorite San Juan Island sea salts, Pelindaba Lavender Farm body care products, essential oils and a big bag of snacks for the road. Nothing like a lap around the indoor pool and soak in the hot tub after a day wondering the islands beaches! I even got to work out in the gym while my wife meditated in the sauna. We made sure to leave enough time and energy to take the hotels bikes for a ride down to Jackson’s beach. We didn’t have time to visit their spa, but will make sure to book a massage next time we’re there. Thank you to the Earthbox Inn & Spa for making our trip so easy and enjoyable! We will be back just as soon as we can!!
