Really nice quaint hotel within walking distance from the harbor, although they do have a shuttle if needed. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room. Good breakfast buffet. Located in a quiet neighborhood one half mile from the harbor.

If you want to feel like you are staying in a retirement home, this place is for you. Dark, old and dingy rooms. The hallways are a nightmare. No housekeeping. AC cause the circule breaker to short. Even my daughter was scared of the rooms. Stay somewhere else. This place is a nightmare:

I was so pleased with the accommodations at this facility during the warm weather. I truly wanted to relax in an outside jacuzzi due to my Sciatica lower back pain and I had the best time doing just that while soaking up the sun at this very reasonably priced places on the island with an above average air conditioning system that is very quiet and programable. You can sleep peacefully there and enjoy nature out on your own private balcony with above decent view. Also, there is amble closet space in the bedrooms to place all your belongings. I will be back!

This review is not for a personal stay but because of a donation given by Friday Harbor Suites. Management donated three rooms for three nights for dental professionals who came here to fix people's teeth as part of a county grant. This was above and beyond a normal "give" and was especially helpful because the grant which brought a dental van to the island did not cover accommodations for the dental professionals. Daniel Jang and his team are wonderful and I hope they get lots of business because they support the community of San Juan Island and that is a wonderful thing!

Nice and well maintained hotel. Our room had a separate bedroom, large bathroom, nice size living room, and a small but efficient kitchen area. Don’t think most people use the kitchen though as we ate out for all meals. We had to actually coordinate our arrival with the desk person since we arrived later than intended due to ferry delay. The location is also within walking distance of where all the shops and restaurants are. This is actually our second time staying here would definitely stay again next time we come to Friday Harbor.

We visited in the off season so they were so kind as to upgrade us to a king suite which was huge and remodeled. There were maybe only 2 other parties staying at the hotel that weekend so it was quiet. The one staff member we ever saw was super friendly! The hotel is close to town and shopping and food. The restaurants etc on site are closed in the off season. We enjoyed the large hot tub. The suite itself was renovated which was great! But it was a little bit thrown together, if you look closely they didn’t really pay too much attention to detail and there was some dirty spots around the suite. Lots of crumbs and residue in the kitchen drawers… we did not use any of the dishes provided though. Some towels and sheets had some stains. But no big deal. Definitely not the ritz but also a nice option on a small island. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would love to return to a renovated room for sure. Not sure if every room is renovated yet? But the king suite(s) are.…

Great customer service. Our stay was great! MJ attended us and made our stay even better. She gave us information about the island and places to visit and to eat. She had great recommendations and was super nice. Rooms were clean and purple mattress was so comfortable. So glad we stayed and would come back again.

Went to Friday Harbor with a few friends for a weekend! This hotel was great. I'm surprised by some of the poor reviews. I travel some for work and have stayed at many different hotels. I like space and cleanliness along with service and this hotel provided all of that. It's in a great location - about a half mile from the ferry and lots of shops and restaurants along the way. Were able to walk from the hotel to the downtown area. Small but quaint area. We stayed in a suite and it was a great value. We looked at other hotels and weren't able to find this kind of space for the money. The suite had a bedroom with a comfortable king bed, closet, a living room, kitchen area and a little "nook" with a table and chairs. There was a nice balcony too - what's interesting is that all the balcony's seem to be private! The hallways are interesting - zig zag! But we figured out that's so each room that has a balcony has privacy! So cool! Since we had a living room, we were able to have friends over and relax and play games. We did notice that there seems to be a major staff shortage on the island which was rough on all the businesses. You have to plan your meals - everything closes pretty early! There were signs everywhere to please be patient and many business open for short periods of time. I suspect some of the reviews are related to that. We didn't notice any issues and when we asked for extra towels, they delivered quickly. (No daily service - which I don't usually do anyway since the pandemic). It was really a nice getaway! Spent a long weekend with girlfriends in Friday Harbor and stayed at this hotel. We loved the spaciousness of the room. It was clean and modern. It had a little balcony with a view of the courtyard. I think I was in the renovated room. The kitchen appliances were new. Didn’t expect an apartment-sized refrigerator, that was a plus! And talking to staff that the “purple” mattress were bought during Covid. I had a good night sleep. The location of the hotel is an easy walk to downtown. Over the long weekend we were able to order specialty lattes at Medio Cafe. This place had amazing coffee and such a fancy espresso machine to make quality coffee. It was easy to get our coffees and donuts (yeasty chewy freshly made yum) before our adventures around the island. Recommend.

We stayed three nights at the Friday Harbor Suites and it was perfect for our first visit to San Juan. Our room had a great view of the Harbor and was a short walk from the ferry. The walk from the ferry is up a hill so be aware of that. We were able to walk to everywhere in town. The breakfast menu is great and the dinner was superb. The staff is excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I highly recommend.
