Quiet, no frills but friendly hotel. Has a shuttle from the ferry but easily in walking distance and has plenty of parking in a free lot which can be a problem in town. Best part was the new little coffee spot in the lobby. It's called Medio. (the Mexican restaurant pics are old on here...that place is gone and this is the new spot in its' place) Turn right as you walk in the lobby, pass the stairs on your left and continue through the double doors. Coffee bar, menu, order counter is all near the back. The space has lots of indoor and outdoor seating, great coffee, friendly, helpful service and good wifi. Highlights with my family were the avocado toast and smoothies...fresh fruit on the chia pudding...delicious. Brand new place ...perfect for a post or pre ferry ride snack or quick meal.

Don’t be fooled- apparently NO One updates the website OR the staff when it comes to amenities here. I called a month ago to verify some details- like guest laundry, an open on site restaurant and shuttle- and was reassured all those features were up and running. There is NO onsite restaurant- NO free breakfast, or any breakfast for that matter- but the shuttle will run very intermittently. There is also NO guest laundry, and the laundromat in town is very expensive. There was also no housekeeping- unless you left your room for the entire day and left windows and doors open. Unfortunately, they do not lower the cost to offset the no breakfast and no housekeeping- it’s still quite overpriced.

Room Tip: Parking anywhere in town is horrendous- very expensive tourist destination, and even if you call...

If you need to cook when traveling this is not the place for you. We reserved a suite, including a kitchennete, but there was no stove, no burners and no pans. We found a meagre (2d hand type) set of dishware and silverware but no corkscrew (the office provided us with a very cheap one). Continuing with the negatives, there were no chairs, no dinette table. We had to place our toiletries on the floor in the bathroom because the washbasin cabinet was too small. The restaurant was closed due to COVID19. On the positive side, the unit was fair-to-midling-comfortable and appealing, clean enough, the mattress was satisfactory but the shower had a meagre flow. The staff was responsive: we asked for patio chairs and we got them right away. The neighborhood was safe and quiet, and semi-rural. Bottom line, we will probably avoid this place in the future. Kind of expensive for us too. Still, it is a lovely town.

Our rooms were wonderful.....comfy beds to sleep in .....got a wonderful nites sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful and there is a shuttle if you are going to the ferry or downtown. The hallways are very interesting....kinda like going to the carnival.....Great place to stay.
