We loved our stay, and camped in tents. Our site was large and along the lake. The property was clean and beautiful, and had great fishing. Our kids also very much loved the free bicycles the property let us use at the location.
This place was absolutely amazing. They know customer service or what. They called me the week before, the day before and several times the day that I was arriving. They wanted to check on me to make sure everything was fine. It was a no self contact check-in. When we arrived, they had our envelope outside with our name on it. It had our keys in the envelope and what room number we were in. We were able to collect our stuff and use the key to open the front door of the lodge. We walked upstairs and found our room. The room was beautiful, had a balcony to watch over the lake. The room itself, the shower / tub that was large enough for me to sit in is a rarity being 6-7. Each morning they provide breakfast to the members of the lodge. It's a complimentary. They have a pancake maker, milks from soy, 2% to Almond. Cereal, snack items, etc; Then you will meet the nicest staff member ( now they're all very nice ) Mary Ann (I believe was her name), she makes an Omelet with potatoes every morning. She asks what you want and she provides it was hot sauce and other sauces. Every morning we ate there and chatted with her. She provided us items to do around the island. This was our 5th visit to the island in 6 years and 4th in a row. We had did most of the items, except a couple that she mentioned that we didn't do. We learned that the lodge was on 82 acres of properly. We did do a small hike around the property. You have the 3 lakes, but they have 8 log cabins that I counted, Yurts, Airstreams, tents and many other ways to stay on the site. They even have a small general store where you can purchase items from alcohol to food, drinks etc; it's open 9-5 daily. It was our first time staying here. I was very impressed with the place. You were required to wear masks on site. In addition to them having the lodge 50% occupancy. Let me tell you they have wine available. If it's after hours when the staff is gone, you just pick your wine and write down your name, what you took and your room#. How amazing is that. They had some great local wine available. Overall I was extremely impressed with this place. I want to stay here again, next time luck out and get a cabin and bring my entire family. The staff has to be the friendliest I've ever encountered. Keep up what you're doing. You're rocking it..…
My boyfriend and I rented a lodge room for one night and the room, tub and room amenities were very nice. However we were disappointed because the lodge is advertised in two places on their website as being “for ages 16 and older only”. When we got there the packet in the room says “16 and under must be accompanied by an adult”. There were several kids running, slamming the lodge doors and yelling till their parents finally decided to take them inside at 9pm. While it’s not the resorts fault that people let their kids be obnoxious, but they shouldn’t have even been allowed in the lodge area and lobby. Other than the “adults only” false advertising of the lodge area, we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was amazing.
Not far from Friday Harbor is nestled a little slice of heaven called Lakedale. We stayed in the Canvas Cabin with a full restroom this time. Everything was perfect, from the bundle of firewood to the bed and bedding that was to die for. They provide a cooler, covered picnic table, chairs on the deck and chairs around the fire/grill pit. We brought bug spray, which was needed once the sun went down, but the bugs weren't very bad. Our place was right on the water with a spectacular view. There are numerous picnic tables, and games as you walk around the property. We rented a canoe for only $10/hr (7/2022), but they also have many other watercraft options. If you need items from the store just keep track of their hours since they are not open late. I believe it was sold out when we stayed (make sure, even if you want to go next year to book in advance, they fill up quick!), and yet was very peaceful and quiet. We will definitely be coming back again and again.…
My family stayed at Lakedale. We had 3 of the yurts and 2 cabins. The yurts were wonderful, comfortable and spacious. Lakedale is central to both harbors. Lot's to do. I would recommend Lakedale to anyone.
We had a great experience. We stayed in the Yurt which is the perfect blend of a tent and cabin. highly recommend this experience to everyone. Yurts are small but has everything, kitchenette, full bathroom, deck with BBQ and hot tub. Every detail in that yurt was appreciated.
Staying a canvas tent/cabin during our stay. It was fabulous. We were coming from across the country on a trip of the PNW. Normally I love camping but couldn't lug all of our things on a cross country flight. So clamping in these canvas tents was the next best thing. Loved the entire place. We had fun playing bocce ball and corn hole. My teens were amused by the water trikes. We all loved the complementary breakfast (only for those staying in canvas tents). We absolutely loved everything about staying here!
We took a tour with Trek Travel and they booked the entire Lakedale Lodge for us for our group of 15 participants. The Lodge was fabulous. We had stunning rooms on the lake and the breakfast was lovely. The management was very hands off most of the time but helpful when needed. Our 3 nights there were magical. We all loved the 'honor bar' for food and drinks--just sign a slip, take what you want, and settle up before leaving. How lovely to be trusted to act like an adult! Highly recommended, beautiful accommodations in a beautiful spot.
The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed just wished it could have been longer this was a perfect stay. the room was a bit hot but we fixed it the breakfast was great and extremely filling not just juice and toast this was a full on breakfast
Beautiful place to camp with friends and family. Kid's friendly resort and easy access to Friday and Roche harbor. Family campground is big enough for multiple tents and vehicles. Parking is not an issue at all.
