Mystical and Magical on Friday Harbor
We came to Friday Harbor to go on a whale watching tour. We booked late, which left us with limited options for an overnight stay. I am so thankful we were able to book one night at the Lakedale Lodge. Excellent communication before we arrived. Easy to book and find on our GPS. As soon as we drove onto the property, I was planning a trip back with our extended family. I loved seeing all the families having fun outside. Our room in the Lodge was comfortable and had a spectacular view of the Lake. Loved the deck and we had s peaceful stay. Bed and pillows were perfect, which is important for me. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning with our family for som Glamping. The drive to the Ferry in Friday Harbor is about 15 minutes.

    Campsite worth the price
My friend and I camped in a beautiful lakeside campsite for one night after a multi-day kayak/camping trip because we wanted to spend a bit more time on the island and explore a bit before heading back to the mainland. The campsite was serene, with a thick group of trees on one side and the lake on another, and we were not crammed next to other noisy campers. The two lakes were beautiful, and I was really impressed with all the extra precautions taken around Covid and many amenities and activiites offered (even if we didn't use most of them at the moment). There are tons of activities for kids to do all over, but also the location is a short drive away from great hikes, scenic drives, great restaurants, and plenty of other activities. While it may seem pricey at first glance, I could easily see how it would offer great value for families or groups. It was worth the price for us.

    Beautiful lakeside resort
My family and I stayed 1 night here—1/2 of us were in the yurt while the other 1/2 stayed in the lodge. My husband and I mostly stayed in the yurt so can’t really comment on he lodge unfortunately. The yurt was awesome though! We were in Yurt 4 which is the yurt all the way at the end near a lake and surrounded by trees which gave a nice secluded feeling since no other yurts were around us. On the flip side, it also made our yurt fairly close to one of the roads but we really didn’t hear much noise at night. The yurt itself was very clean! The kitchen included plentiful dish wares, knives, cutting board, cooking pots, toaster, keurig, dish soap/sponges, towels both paper and reusable, fridge and microwave. The dining table was large enough for the 5 of us. The sofa and bed were very comfortable. Outside, there was the hot tub which was already heated for us by the time we arrived. They also provided cute beach towels by the door for us to use after we rubbed. There were tables for lounging and dining outside as well which we didn’t get to enjoy since it was raining. We did go ahead and grill though! Gas grill was quick to heat up and we had hotdogs on the table within the half hour. My only advice here would be to pack some extra blankets and food. The yurt came with a fireplace and space heater but the highest we could get it to was low to mid 60s. (Granted, it was like high 40s at night and 60s during the day). So if that isn’t your cup of tea, then definitely bring more blankets! The hot tub also struggled in the cold weather. It started at 104 but after tubbing for a good 1-2 hrs, it would drop down to 100. As for food, their general store that usually carries food is closed right now so make sure to pack some. Also wanted to give a shout-out to the service here. We called a few times about heating issues and grilling and they responded really quickly! Someone came and brought an extra heater and later when we called, they also brought another propane tank. In sum, my family and I are already talking about coming back and booking 2 yurts for ourselves. We really enjoyed it out here and found it relaxing. Would love to plan for a time when it’s not raining since they also seem to have lots of outdoor activities.

Very nice campground with large spots, clean and comfortable restrooms and showers. A bike ride away from Friday Harbor and Wescott Bay. Would definitely stay again, and I hope we can find a cabin or room at the lounge next time.

We have a family with young kids and the Canvas Cabin fit exactly what we were looking for. The bed was very comfortable, the fire pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows. There was a perfect amount of privacy and very peaceful our entire stay. We will definitely come back.

We (a retired couple) stayed at Lakedale for the first time in early September 2023, in a lodge room. It was a lovely facility and met all of our expectations. The room was comfortable, with a beautiful view of the small lake. The lodge entrance, main floor, and deck were very nice, and the breakfast was outstanding, with a chef making omelets fresh every morning, in addition to an array of other breakfast foods. Would definitely stay at Lakedale again!

We have stayed twice, once with the kids, and once without. Both have been pleasant adventures and we do recommend Lakedale. There are so many varied activities that Lakedale strives to provide for children, besides the beaches, boats, and swim areas that it is a great place for families. For couples, try the Lodge and get a lake view room. It is beautiful!

Camping? Such a perfect place to camp with great sites on the lake, and several are very private. We have camped there for many years with the family. Fun family activities. The lodge is amazing with great breakfasts. Just stayed in a cabin. We were very comfortable, full stocked kitchen and felt we were in a 5 star hotel. Definitely coming backing.

The service from Reservation to checkout was so easy and friendly! Our Lodge Room left nothing to be desired, and was perfect down to every detail. So inviting and restful. Lovely location with many things to do if you choose to! Truly close to nature and a wonderful lake to go boating, paddling, play games. Very enjoyable.

The first time staying at Lakedale my hubby & I was so happy with our yurt. We truly couldn’t have asked for more. Ok, well it was stormy thunder & lightening rainy but we had a good time. The lodge was perfect & the staff “you know who you are” were so friendly!! Thanks for rescuing our water trike.❤️🛖 excited to bring the whole family back.

We traveled from Maryland in our rv and focused on the West Coast coast line as our vacation. We camped from San Diego to Vancouver. Our favorite camping was at Lakedale. What a cute, fun resort. Our three kids ages 14, 12 &12 enjoyed picking black berries, bocci, leather ball, fishing, took out a row boat, swimming and other activities on site. They have a great general store run by Mary Ann. Kids walked up got hot dogs and other snacks and hung out with other kids. Mary Ann also became our tour guide while on the island. She gave us a map and gave us great suggestions for awesome beaches, restaurants and other sites to visit. Lakedale is a great resort and camping ground. Clean, nice bathrooms, quite and all around fun. We will be returning to Lakedale one day.

My family visited Lakedale Resort for the first time for our vacation this year. We spent three nights in a Canvas Cabin and it was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the freedom (and safety) of riding their bikes all around and met some other kids to play with. Fishing was nice, the breakfast in the mess tent was good.
