Beyond Beautiful is high praise and we very much appreciate it. It warms our hearts when guests notice all the little details that were focused on as we built the resort. We look forward to seeing you soon again Greg.
We are a family of 4 with kids ages 12 and 8. Stayed 2 nights at Snug Harbor. It was quite peaceful. Cabins were well equipped with what we needed (note: there is not an iron) and a few options in the lobby store as...More
We visited Snug Harbor last year and enjoyed our quiet time there. I'd definitely recommend a whale watching tour. We booked through Maya Legacy tours and was not disappointed. Captain Jim gave us an entertaining tour and told us so much about the area, the...More
Stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding in Roche Harbor. The cabins are clean, high quality, and well appointed. Called to ask for a private cabin with a good water view and were told the lower cabins might be more private than another cabin...More

Snug Harbor's incredible setting is ...Moreunparalleled on San Juan Island. Arriving by boat is always an option, since we have our own private marina. We are perfectly located for adventures throughout the islands. Once you arrive and explore the resort, you will discover the unique features, comforts, and amenities provided to each of our guests. We strive to make each guest's visit amazing and memorable. We offer four paddle boards, two kayaks, canoes and bikes for the complimentary use by our guests. Our own Mitchell Bay Coffee is open daily offering an array of coffee beverages, local pastries, waffles, soups, and more. And if you are looking for somewhere to host an event, our new events room with seating for up to 50 is now available. When you come to Snug Harbor be ready to detach a little. This is an ideal place to unwind and relax (while we have free wi-fi throughout the property and great cell phone reception, there are no phones in the cabins). Allow the peace and serenity on Mitchell Bay overtake you. We believe our guests have said it best. One recent Trip Advisor review stated "This place is truly paradise" and our favorite Facebook post simply stated "The cabins are epic". Less

On property there is Mitchell Bay Coffee, which offers pastries, Umqua Oats, Belgian waffles, and gourmet coffee drinks. There will also be a pot of soup on at lunch time. In our store we do offer some easy things to take back to rooms and prepare in the full kitchen with a minimum of effort, like Beecher's Mac and Cheese.
Duck Soup Inn is about 8 minutes away, Roache Harbor is about 12 and they have Lime Kiln Cafe with burgers, sandwiches, and breakfasts, as well as Madrona Grill with good bar fare (including some healthy options), and The McMillan Dining Room, which is a traditional northwest restaurant. Friday Harbor is about 18 minutes away and has many more options and styles of food, from Thai to brewery.
I hope that helps.
