Here for one night for a local wedding. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Being an historic property, one expects the rooms and bathroom to be small, but this more than adequate for the two of us and extremely comfortable. Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere to be in, the rooms are a bit small but they have that good old time feeling, I would stay there again and would recommend it to my friend's. O" by the way , the Manger Bar is a cool place to hang out as well.

First off we called in-house reservations and Sarah, was so helpful in making arrangements. She really listened and offered great advice about the area as well as the room options for our party if 5. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and every little detail was seen to quickly and efficiently, from the valet to rollaway bed. This historic hotel...

The Menger stands up to it's reputation. We went in without a reservation, were greeted very warmly, and the surroundings were spectacular. Renovations were just beautiful. The room faced the garden. It was bright and very comfortable. The grounds kept very nicely. The bar was fabulous! Didn't see the ghost though. :( But we will definately return. Right by the...

We were in San Antonio and decided to stay the last night at the Menger Hotel. I must say this hotel is amazing. The stories about the history of the hotel are a must. The room was clean and the entire hotel beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is dead center of town right across the street...

We were booked in by Railbookers in London and the very helpful person assisting recommended the Menger. Great choice. Historic hotel, beautifully maintained, extremely pleasant and helpful staff, good restaurant. Our room was quiet and most comfortable.

We stayed in San Antonio for a few days and stayed at the Menger Hotel. We really liked it, very convenient to the Alamo and river walk areas. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and there is a shopping mall just steps from the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice.

The Menger Hotel is a beautifully crafted hotel with lots of history. It is convenient to River Walk and across the street from the Alamo. The Hop on Hop Off bus stops in front of the hotel for seeing all the sights. The service at the hotel was excellent as was the food in the restaurant.

While I would love to give the Menger five stars for their outstanding staff, their salute to history and their tradition of grandeur....unfortunately, their rooms brought the rating down to a 2 1/2 (if I could give a half of a star!). Without going into ALL the gory details, we checked into a HOT room at 2:30 PM. We thought...

We booked this trip through Priceline but would have paid full price! We love historic hotels and this one did not disappoint. The room was a nice size and clean. We extended our stay by one night and they honored the same price! The pool was nice and clean and you can dial 6 on the phone by the towels...
