Very well kept. Beautiful room. Delicious morning coffee. Polite bell persons. Nice clean pool. Comfortable pool chairs. Great historic pictures throughout that made us want to spend a day just going around looking at and reading them.

Dear josephgal, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments on TripAdvisor. I was so pleased to hear about or associates, the vintage photos that line our lobby corridor and the pool. Please know that I share your love of our hotel coffee. It makes my morning and its as full bodied and smooth as Starbucks. Thank you for braving the headlines to visit us. The road closures and detours surrounding the hotel caused longer wait times. The trip was business related, however the Valet gal, Ketara put a smile on my face and made the experience seem more personal. Great choice adding her to the team.

Stayed at the Menger for Thanksgiving. Yes it is historic, but depending on what side of the hotel you stay on determines comfort level. Our room was tiny. Bathtub faucet had rust colored water. Valet service is a JOKE. $35 a day and it takes a minimum of 30 mins to get your car. No one knows how to manage the valet service. Waited outside in cold & rain for almost an hour. Our car was also parked in front of the hotel (by valet) for almost 4 hours with sunroof open (again by the valet) and completely unlocked. Upon arriving back from our walking adventure, I tried one of the doors and it was open. I then proceeded to open all doors, and even the hatchback and NO ONE EVEN GLANCED MY WAY! I could have been someone else and stolen the car and they wouldn’t have noticed. When valet service is all that the hotel offers for parking, you would expect the valets to be prepared for check out time especially on a holiday weekend. Nope. Another hour wait and then they park the car way at the end so we can’t get the luggage carrier to the car. So then they had to back it up and go back around and wait again so that we could get luggage and two babies in the car. Then they were so rude telling us we had to move when we were trying to get babies in car seats. Everyone around us was complaining. Everyone was frustrated and all the valets could do was walk in circles because they had no idea of how to properly run a valet service. This alone ensures that I will NEVER stay at the Menger again!
