Please be aware that if you select a room with the "Riverview" and you are in room 802 (or any room above or below this room), you will not only be at the end of the hall by the exit stairs, but you will have a view of a huge water tower and not the rRverwalk. However, you will pay the same rate as those who actually have the River view!
we enjoyed 6 notes at the Palacio del rio.....front desk very welcoming & friendly....1st day was a bit misty/rainy...to our happy surprise they had complimentary umbrellas we used that day.....we also enjoyed comfy nites sleep in best bedding ever!!! being on 5th floor, we were up till 10pm with loud music outside our room, I wished they would've gave us a heads up on that, as we are early risers, and go to bed early....but, 5th floor was really a good fit for us. a few of our morning breakfasts we enjoyed at this hotel at the rivers edge....were perfect, & we have to give a shout out to our server/Angel....we enjoyed Angel at least 5 times/both breakfast & one dinner.....what a friendly, polite, attentive server he was to us....we totally looked forward to seeing Angel, as he approached our table when we dinned....Please acknowledge Angel for us with any extra awards/perks, as he is one of you best!!! service with a smile....he's the best!!! this property is perfect for all whom want to explore the beautiful river walk, attractions close by.....perfect for the tourist whom wants a GREAT place to lay their head....thank you Hilton...... :)…
Hotel is very conveniently located right on the riverwalk. On-site restaurant was very good. Within walking distance for most attractions we were interested in. The record high heat while we were there was not a welcome thing. Luckily there was always a breeze in front of the hotel.
Beds are double bed size so very small but comfortable. Noise level was loud one night (Cinco de Maya) but otherwise very quiet. Friendly staff at every level. Parking is $49.99 per night, which is not advertised but parking is available close by for less. Would highly recommend this hotel!
Excellent property no complaints. The soup was excellent , the view and easy accommodations to see the city.Excellent location to the convention center which was a plus!Lots of fun thing to do and see on the river walk.
This hotel is nice, older but nice! The fact that it’s connected to the river walk is excellent but there are many hotels that are in the same proximity and close to the river walk as well! As an African American I would suggest going the Marriot or somewhere else. There were not many nice desk clerks to assist. Karla was great but the fare skinned girl with the long brown/black hair was very rude! We had a big party and instead of helping to check us in, she stood and behind the desk and did nothing. We had to go and stand in front of her to get assistance and still then she was very rude and very short with us. I was highly disappointed because As a hilton honors member, I know the customer service is not usually that poor. All races should feel comfortable coming here!! No one should feel as a bother or unwanted especially when attending a conference held my the hotel! I was very disappointed! Once again it’s okay, but if you can go somewhere else do it!…
The staff are very helpful and proactive in providing for your needs. The room was very clean, spacious and modern. I also like the desk area and plug layout. It was very helpful when I needed to get work done and recharge. I slept great both nights quiet and comfortable.
Lovely Hotel with fabulous views and balcony on the San Antonio River. Spotlessly clean rooms with comfortable triple sheeted beds. Chaise lounge in room to enjoy the view or two chairs on the balcony. Beverage cooler/fridge in room to keep your drinks cool and refreshing after a long day of sightseeing. Bar on River walk, Durty Netty's is a fun sing along piano bar. A must for some fun and the best fish n chips.
Have ever wondered what it feels like being on the receiving end of a BDSM relationship? I'm about to give you some insight. My husband and I stayed in room 930 on 4/19/22. Background: we are not big people, and we don't mind a firm bed. But this bed was so firm that we are pretty sure we now know what the homeless feel when they sleep on the pavement streets of Skid Row. When we woke up, I told my husband my body felt sore like I had been beaten up by a BDSM dominatrix all night. And a really really mean one. He echoed my sentiments by saying he felt like he owed a debt and a bookie sent his guys to rough him up. He sat up in bed and leaned against the wooden headboard because he said it was softer than lying down flat on the bed. He then said he was looking forward to the 3-hour drive home because it would hurt his back less than the bed. Other than that, the hotel was acceptable, but all the pros in the world can't outweigh the con of that bed. Also, $49/day parking in a little steep. …
Located right on the river walk, easy to get around. Our room had a balcony which was fun. Service was very kind but the reception team weren’t at all knowledgeable of the area (trying to find something simple like CVS was a challenge), and as conference hotel they couldn’t direct us to the UPS Center (which was across the street)! Otherwise nice clean location.
