First don’t be like me and think you are right on the river walk It is technically but the Marriott Riverwalk is really the on river and either faces directly on the Riverwalk or the other side faces pretty much not much of anything. We were originally given such a quiet room facing inward away from the busy streets but after our room would not get warm, stayed at 71 degrees with our lows in the mid 50 and they were calling for upper 40s, we wanted our room to be warmer than 71 degrees. Since it would not, we were moved to a different room that faced the Main Street which one heard cars honking, revving engines, etc. For a light sleeper I will admit it did calm down later in the evening. The room was clean, comfy beds, 4 pillows on each queen bed, mini fridge, no microwave but there was one in the laundry room, separate sink from the toilet and shower. Mentioning laundry room - there are about 5 washers and dryers free to guests with a coin laundry detergent and softener machine for $1 each. Unfortunately for me, it was all out. I called the front desk and she had one of each for me on the house. They have a pool that is heated where you may swim either indoor or out with lounge chairs and towels provided. They have a gym as well. Due to COVID, cleaning of rooms each day doesn’t occur nor unloading your car (bell service) . You are on your own. There is a separate parking fee with an attached garage. This hotel is very close to the Alamo, shopping, the Tower of the Americas, and the Riverwalk. Unfortunately from the hotel you could not walk the Riverwalk due to construction so you would have to come street side then go back down. Now having walked the area a lot, I would stay at Drury, or a hotel down more in the middle of the Riverwalk. Bring comfortable walking shoes and you literally can walk everywhere you want for food, tourist attractions, shopping, etc.

We stayed here during my daughter's volleyball tournament. A week before we arrived, I called the hotel to ask some questions to get the lay of the land and to get updates on any changes due to Covid. I has the pleasure of speaking to Precious. She is SO very knowledgeable and was extremely patient with my, what seems like 5378 questions. ~ A few days before my arrival I had to call in to make some modifications, Dominique was awesome as well. So gracious and so courteous. I was already impressed with everything at this Marriott so far. ~ The day of check in, I found the parking was easy. (albeit the spaces are a bit tight) The property is beautiful and very spacious. I was lucky enough to be checked in by Alex, who like Precious and Dominique had the utmost highest level of customer service. It's like everyone who works here are the friendliest and most welcoming staff I've ever met!! ~ About the property: Everything is soooo well thought out. The coolest and fastest elevators ever, ice machine that dispenses ice quickly so you don't have to stand there waiting for 10 cubes at a time. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Lighting everywhere, never had to search for a place to charge your electronics. TV was a nice size. The pillows were like large clouds in the bed. I put one of either side of me and made a nest. :o) Water pressure was great. Toilets had a 1/2 flush option to save water for when you only go #1. Gym is well equipped with towel service. Nice cafe in lobby serving Starbucks. If there was anything bad to say, would only be that Marriott is still using single use plastic bottles of shampoo/conditioner etc. It'll be nice when the company finally makes the switch to the dispensers. ~ Overall this was a 10/10. The facility is great, but what brought it over the first class customer service of Alex, Dominique and queen Precious. This team WOWed me 100%!!! Well done and THANK YOU!!

I recently had surgery and was in a wheelchair when I stayed. Everyone from the valet to the registration desk were so helpful and accommodating. While I was registering for a business conference, Ernest at the front helped make sure all of my bags made it to my room and even spoke to his supervisor to change my room because the A/C wasn’t working and there was some paint peeling off the wall. He went above and beyond to make sure that the room was up to standards, handicapped accessible and even brought a shower to the room for me. Traveling alone in a wheelchair was difficult, but I was very well taken care of during my stay. Highly recommend.

I stayed at this hotel recently to attend a trade show across the street. The location was perfect, and as far as conference hotels go, this one is a step above.

The room was clean and nice and I had an amazing view of the SA skyline and river. Front desk reception met us with smiling faces and promptly got us into rooms, even though we were VERY early (this was much appreciated after flying all morning to get there).

We ate lunch one day at the bar, and our server was fast and efficient. The food was good - we had the BLT and a chicken breast sandwich.

I picked up a fast breakfast from the coffee shop in the lobby both days, and the women working there were so fast, so efficient, and super friendly. One of them started cracking jokes with me and we were howling within seconds.

This hotel smells amazing. Laugh if you want, but when it's 106 outside and you're in work clothes, walking through the double doors into air conditioning and a delicious-smelling hotel makes a world of difference.

The location is in center of riverwalk and for tours pick up in middle of either direction
20-25 minutes at one end or other. The place very clean, good supply of towels, safe in room, bed very comfortable, option shower hand or over head, good supply of hot water easy to get in and out of shower or tub, The pool was clean and friendly staff in and out stocking towels offering water to drink or giving air blow up toys to children to play with in pool. On site is three places to eat. One open 6am to 10 pm offering, breakfast sandwitches, sandwitches, snacks, cold or hot drinks or snacks, cereals, soups. The cataus offers breakfast buttet or breakfast menu. The bar opens in afternoon for simple sandwitches, chilli dishes to eat there or take to room. The true diamond of hotel is STAFF. Everyone was kind and for kind and thoughtful too me except for one staff member. On first day there I didn't feel good and wanted just to have sandwitch and call it early evening so I go to get sandwitch at bar restaurant was offer only bar chair available to be seated at. And told her I couldn't do that this time. I went to front desk ask there if
someplace eat and told her saw table chairs opposite register but section was not open. The staff member told me she could get her open that area, but recommend other place. So I left walk went 1/2 way down street and turn back went back front desk talk to same women at desk and saw two elderly ladies sitting in section i was just told was not open. She told me they to were told their was told only bar seats only and she told them to open it up . So said its open and open for you too. but I told her can I just can take out to room and she state sure. And young kind man took care of my order and thank him, The women at front desk that went out of every way for 3 us was JOSE JILL she worked on monday and wedness evening. This women on wednesday I saw her kindly helping new traveler to elevator and showing her how it work. Special shout out to Aymalisa waitress at buffet restraurant kindness and suggestions to help trip be wonderful. The wonderful kind omelet makers man and women(best omelets ever!). Johnthan for eagerness in giving me directions and information where things were and how to get there simple The door people always helpful and kind, Thank you all for such wonderful trip!

My family recently did not have power in our home during bad weather so we made an unplanned trip to this Marriott.

This Marriott is convention heavy and housed 3 different conventions during our stay. The hotel is centrally located, only minutes from the Alamo and other tourist attractions. It's also attached to a shopping mall and on the River Walk.

The staff was very helpful - we did not know when we'd get power back and the staff let us extend our reservation one day at a time. Free laundry on site and their heated pool were two things we regularly used.

We were also upgrade to a very nice suite for the duration of our stay.

My only small complaint is room service came to us on a bag and it was served in plastic take out containers. The food was good and reasonably priced, but if I'm eating a $20 burger or a $60 steak, then I want it to be on a real plate.

The hotel also has a great lounge for Marriott people who have hotel status. The lobby bar is also great.

Again, I appreciate the friendliness of all of the hotel staff (the bellman, lounge workers, and the front desk). They made us feel recognized and at home at the hotel during the duration of our stay. The also made us comfortable with the suite upgrades. We look forward to returning.

Room was very nice But a little lacking in outlets. It was very clean. It was a handicaped room And the beds were on the floor without a frame which was a little different. But my husband was able to get in and out of the bed with not too much trouble. Housekeeping came only the second day, but if I needed anything, they were very quick to bring it to me. Drinks were very expensive at the lobby bar. but the service and food was good. The little lobby market. was very crowded in the morning, So ordered room service and it came within 10 minutes. We ordered two cabs. from valet. and she said it would be 10 minutes and the cabs didn't show up after 45 minutes. And the valet person had left and didn't return. Went inside to check on it, and we were told to call the cab company ourself!! For such a large hotel, the restaurant options and bar options were minimal. We were there over the 4th of July, so the river walk was very, very crowded And it would have been nice to have been able to stay in the hotel for dining options. The restaurant next door was very good., the Yard House., We spent a lot of time there.

As soon as you walk in you feel like you're in the right place. The lobby looks amazing and smells even better. I was originally booked at the Marriott Riverwalk but I accidentally walked into the River Center first. The front desk couldn't find my reservation so they asked me if I was at the right location I looked at my Bonvoy App and surly I was at the wrong location. When I walked across the street where my reservation was booked as soon as I walked in I felt like I needed to go back where I just came from so I did. The check-in experience was great and full of information which is what I was looking for being it was my first time in San Antonio. I got the right recommendations. I was able to make a whole day out of it. When things settled down it was time to eat and have a drink. Whatever you do please see Roffe at the Tributary restaurant and Bar. I've traveled around the world to many countries and I must say the Old Fashion that Roffe made me was in the top 3 best that I've ever had. Great vibe and definitely would stay here every time I'm back in town.

The staff here is great. We had a quick lunch before our tour of San Antonio and Alyssa was one of the best waitresses we ever had. She had my water glass full at all times and when we stopped at the bar later that night she was still there and remembered us.
Our bartender, Roffe, was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed all of the information he shared about all the bourbons ( and tequila).
Our room was cleaned each day and our request for extra lotion ( the water here drys out my skin… my only negative, and I’m sure the hotel has no control over that) was granted right away.
I know the staff here works hard, but the trick is to make it look easy for the customers and we appreciate it
And the location right by the river walk is a plus

I stayed here for a convention in mid-March 2022. It was barely a satisfactory experience. While the rooms are such that you don't here anything between the walls, there might as well be no door as you can hear everything going on outside the door. You can also NOT close the door in any way without it sounding like it was slammed closed. The bed was not comfortable nor were the linens. While there was ample hot water, the water pressure was not great. They use a "rain shower" shower head and there was no way to manually increase the water pressure. There is also a second, handheld shower head but the switch to change between the two never quite completely changes from one to the other, which also contributed to the lack of water pressure. I found that having a bidet on the toilet interesting but the one installed in my bathroom was cracked and leaked so did not work properly. It is IMPOSSIBLE for the cleaning staff to not notice this crack so it was surprising that it has not been replaced yet. I will also make the same recommendation I make to all hotels: please install a makeup mirror. It would be appreciated, probably by men as well as women. The meals we had there were OK and the staff was great - the best part of the stay by far and the reason I am rating three circles rather than just two. I do not like their "no linens" policy for meeting room tables. I also thought I had arrange for limited (not everyday but at least once) housekeeping during my stay but it was never serviced. Overall, I expect more from a Marriott.
