Just returned from nyc on a 2 week trip and stayed at st. Regis, Park Hyatt, Marriott Marquis and Edition. Marriott river center’s staff exceeded all of them even though they aren’t in the same category. This is my third stay here in the last 2 years and first in over a year. The level of service was superb and continuous. The hospitality from every single employee we encountered was tremendous. We didnt have any status when we first stayed there in may of 2020 to being just gold the second stay yet the hospitality was consistent. On this visit on 6/18-6/20. Front desk was welcoming and every single time I interacted with them was excellent whether they knew my status or not. Truly Applaud the management team for their continued professionalism. From Erica that checked us in, to the valet and door man, to the breakfast staff at tributary, to the staff in M lounge to even the house keeping staff. All were proactive and engaging. Even waiting in line at front desk they always see and ask what is needed!! Little things like waiting in line for coffee at the convenience store, there was a front desk gentleman that was in line behind us who was getting coffee, probably not on the clock, yet he helped without prompting by putting something back on the shelf for my kids and engaging us. At the lounge during breakfast we over head another staff member giving an oral history of the building to another guest and learning this is the second tallest building in downtown etc…. Can’t say enough about their culture. These employees are just happy and smiling and enjoy taking care of people. Thank y’all for making life long memories for my family and turning my young children into future Marriott loyalist! I have traveled the world and can confidently say this is the best run full service hotel I’ve encountered in a long while. They don’t use COVID as an excuse or the fact that they are a convention hotel. Their lounge was open and all areas were fully staffed. Can’t say enough how impressed we were and can’t wait to visit again! Hope corporate can send trainers to learn from this team.…
I recently had surgery and was in a wheelchair when I stayed. Everyone from the valet to the registration desk were so helpful and accommodating. While I was registering for a business conference, Ernest at the front helped make sure all of my bags made it to my room and even spoke to his supervisor to change my room because the A/C wasn’t working and there was some paint peeling off the wall. He went above and beyond to make sure that the room was up to standards, handicapped accessible and even brought a shower to the room for me. Traveling alone in a wheelchair was difficult, but I was very well taken care of during my stay. Highly recommend.
I stayed at this hotel recently to attend a trade show across the street. The location was perfect, and as far as conference hotels go, this one is a step above. The room was clean and nice and I had an amazing view of the SA skyline and river. Front desk reception met us with smiling faces and promptly got us into rooms, even though we were VERY early (this was much appreciated after flying all morning to get there). We ate lunch one day at the bar, and our server was fast and efficient. The food was good - we had the BLT and a chicken breast sandwich. I picked up a fast breakfast from the coffee shop in the lobby both days, and the women working there were so fast, so efficient, and super friendly. One of them started cracking jokes with me and we were howling within seconds. This hotel smells amazing. Laugh if you want, but when it's 106 outside and you're in work clothes, walking through the double doors into air conditioning and a delicious-smelling hotel makes a world of difference.…
We stayed here for two days and every time we ate in the restaurant we had Felipe Martinez as our waiter. He was fantastic, punctual with requests, happy and very accommodating. I wish that everyone that I interact with daily was as nice as him.
I had to come here for a work conference. The rooms are dated and I don't think I would stay here again. No balconies. Boo. The sister hotel across the street actually did have balconies. I wish I would have known. The location is great but to be honest, if I was not a loyal Marriott member, I would have stayed at the Canopy. I was there in April when they had the Boat Parade on the Riverwalk! That was pretty special! All in all - not a bad place. By accident I left a few items in the closet and they sent them back to me without a charge, so I will give them 5 star for that alone!
I was in town for a convention - this was one of the host hotels. It was close to shopping, restaurants and night life. The convention center was walkable. The weather here was hot. Was greeted upon my arrival - desk staff was great - Luke in particular. They want you there and to take care of all of your needs. The hotel is attached to the Rivercenter Mall. My room was on the 22nd floor - I had a city view room. The rooms are nice - but small. The bed and shower are amazing. I like the wood grain floors. They offer a gift shop, restaurant and bar on site. The breakfast buffet was a daily highlight. The hotel at night is noisy. The hub here seems to be the lobby area. The housekeeping staff does a great job. All in all a great experience. I will be back here. Continued Success !!!…
Room amenities, lobby and restaurants very fresh and bright. Like all Marriotts, still working to retire some of the lame Covid adaptations. But hey, I had a pen and paper in my room ( one of the little things that *issed me off, taken away at all hotels over the past two years or so). This is a really nice property, so walkable to many attractions, shopping and dining.
The hotel is okay, a little dated. But Lorenzo and Jacob in the Valet department are fantastic! Thanks guys for taking such good care of my vehicle!!! Did you was nice, I had a view of the riverwalk. The Riverwalk itself is a nasty disgusting place that no one would want to spend any time in. While you walk through the Riverwalk you smell a urine and you have to dodge the thieves constantly.
We were underwhelmed. Small room with no storage for clothing, tiny vanity and wasted bathroom space. No room service so I bagged trash and looked for a place to dispose of it. Best for a business visit of short duration. Very disappointed.
Was at venue for SWP Conference. Your Valet personnel DJ, Glen, Cameron, and Sebastionn went well and above to ensure myself and our guests for the conference were taken care of in a professional manner. These young men set the first expression expectations of your facility and should be praised and rewarded for their outstanding services. Dr. Sean V.
