We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our daughter's birthday. During Covid-19, with all the restrictions and limited services, this hotel is located in the heart of the River Walk and we couldn't have chosen a more comfortable place to stay! Friendly service! Balcony wasn't crowded and the views were memorable! Hope to stay here again!
An absolutely stunning hotel! Upon arrival we were upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the Riverwalk. We appreciated that so much! It was beautiful, and very comfortable. Every employee there acted it was their mission to make sure everything was perfect for us, and it was. ( Especially Adam & Dan) The rooms were spotless, with the remote and extras being sanitized and in a baggie, A call the the front desk for any reason had someone at our door within minutes. We enjoyed an afternoon at the pool, and while the restaurant within the hotel was still only take out, we enjoyed drinks from the bar that were delightful. Overall, if your staying on the Riverwalk, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay!!!
We celebrated our wedding night at this hotel in 1995. It has the perfect location on the Riverwalk and the balconies are lovely. With our 25th anniversary coming in the middle of the pandemic we wanted to do an amazing trip somewhere but that option was off the table. It was midweek and we were able to take off from work, so we made the trip to San Antonio for the night just as we did in 95. The hotel knew it was our anniversary (I added it to the reservation notes). They upgraded our room, sent a lovely welcome gift, and handwritten note. Such a nice touch! Things in San Antonio were somewhat shut down the first week of August and so was the hotel—the restaurant was closed, for example. It was perfect for us, however. Be sure to read up on what is open before you book. And bring your swimsuit! The pool was open and it was refreshing. Thanks, so much, Mansion management and staff for making our 25th memorable! We hope to make this a new tradition!…
We just had to get away. San Antonio had had a news conference stating that the River Walk was open for business! We made our plans. The day before we were to leave, things were changing. We went anyway. This time we had a smaller room. Remodeled, the furniture was a bit large for the room. Still very nice. We were told we could opt out of having our room serviced, and funds would be contributed to a charity. Eating there was limited, but there were plenty of other places open. It was a good stay, even in the complicated times. The pool was open and being used. Things were only open from Thursday through Sunday. So we left on Monday, even though we had thought we would stay longer. Very nice place to stay. Close to everything. Looking forward to another visit in better times.
I have always wanted to stay here, but kept sticking to what I know, the Hyatt. Don’t get me wrong, love the Hyatt too, but this one has so much history and charm which I adore. The staff was so welcoming, all wearing face masks, the rooms had a sanitized bag with the remote in it...although I feel that should have been the case for all hotels even before COVID...the room is cozy with updates...We chose the balcony on the river, which was fabulous. The pool was great, small but didn’t need more for a refresher. The restaurant is open but limited menu, we went to the sister hotel across. Loved our little getaway.
