I was here for a conference and I wish my family had been able to join me! Such a beautiful place with so many activities for the whole family. The conference rooms were great and all the equipment worked!
THis place is surrounded by trees which may you feel like your in the country, the golf course is great with deer romming around during the late afternoon. You got a feeling of safety and peace. Everyone was very helpful. With lots of things to do outside just enjoying the nature all around.
Went to Hyatt Regency Hill Country for an extended weekend and really enjoyed it. It was generally almost active, but not annoyingly so. Even when I’m the high traffic public areas like the rambling river/pool/surfing area, it wasn’t overwhelming. Now we went just before Memorial Day, which might explain it not being too busy, but the crowds & noise were definitely manageable. The Spa was really nice as we did a day pass ($20) which got us access to two jacuzzis (public & private for men/women) as well as steam room, dry sauna, big hammocks and a nice area to sit and just take in the bird songs and scenery. The Starbucks/Gift Shop was convenient, but don’t expect Starbucks quality as it is an off-site location. We are at Charlie’s Long Bar & the pool area bar and generally enjoyed our selections. We didn’t take advantage of everything and someone staying for a week could generally be entertained the entire time, but we really enjoyed ourselves and will likely be back. …
If you want to be impressed with the scenery this is the place. However, nothing is convenient and way overpriced. Bring your own water, a 12 oz bottle of water is 4 dollars. Paid 25.00 on two small breakfast tacos which I ended up throwing away because they were awful. This place will nickel and dime you to death. Luckily, I had a group discount so the room only cost $200.00 for one night Example of "extra charges": San Antonio Tourism PID Fee $2.50, State Occupancy Tax - 6% $12.50, Local Occupancy Tax-9% $18.23, County Occupancy Tax -1.74% @3.54, State Cost Recovery Fee $3.50, State Cost Recovery Fee Occupancy Tax 0.63, Resort Fee $ 7.00, Resort Fee State Tax - 6% 0.42, Resort Fee Local Tax - 9% 0.63, Parking Overnight - Self $17.00, Other Tax - 8.25% $1.40 - For a grand total of 267.12. Another lady that was part of our group her reservation date was messed up so they would not give her the discount she ended up paying $599.00 for one night on a Wednesday night would work with her on price. To me your 4 star hotel is at best a two star or lower. No one greeted, opened a door or helped with luggage we had to carry our own. I will not be back and will not recommend this hotel to anyone. …
The amenities, were great but the room was outdated and full of mosquitoes early in the summer. Grounds were beautiful but just left me wanting a nicer experience. I think they could update the rooms a little more and maybe fresh paint on the outside to make it feel less dated. Spa has 0 availability the weekend we came so I cannot speak to that. Great for large families but not as nice as other resorts.
had a wonderful stay came in for a wedding. The property is amazing and is located close to any store you could need so if you forget something it is okay. the pool was amazing and all the activities were awesome. my only complaint is the AC in the room didn't work well so it can get hot at night but other than it was amazing.
The warm rooms need to work on the A/C the amenities are great but not that great if you can cool off in the warm Texas Afternoons. Otherwise it was a nice hotel I would visit if the price wasn’t so outrageous
Room wasn't cleaned thoroughly prior and want cleaned after I asked. Room service breakfast was just OK after messing the order up 3 times. Bit worth the money. For the price, you expect some sort of luxury.
This hotel was very nice. It was a great place for our conference as well as it looked nice for families. Nice looking golf course and practice areas. The restaurants and bars had a great variety of options.
The facility is becoming a bit tired so could do with a new lease of life. Rooms are nice, cost of food and drinks are too high in my opinion. The shop has a captive audience and therefore the prices are hugely inflated, up to 400% of a high street store and the shop staff could be overtaken by a snail in a race, they are so slow and miserable
