This little place is beyond what we were expecting!! We felt at home. We came down for our 1 yr anniversary turned Engagement. We have already decided that this little gem is where we want to make our yearly anniversary trip!! Rooms were clean, beautifully set up, breakfast both mornings was delicious! They make you feel like family!
Stayed in "The Pearl" room. Nice large shared balcony. Nice hot shower. Bathroom sink lacks space to set anything down. Rooms are amble space. Able to walk downtown on river path. 10 mins to Riverwalk activity. Plenty of ample parking in their private lot. Good hot prepared breakfast. Friendly staff. You're given entry key codes and instructions via email. Overall a great stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Inn . It was clean, quiet, located right on the RiverWalk. The owner, Roland and Margaret- who cooks a great breakfast- were delightful. We will definitely stay there again when we return to San Antonio!
There are so many good things about the Inn on the Riverwalk. The staff is wonderful and provides very attentive service. They were accommodating when we had to adjust our dates. The made to order breakfast is a treat. The Riverwalk location and free parking are fantastic. At the same time, it’s important to note this is a 19th century inn. For the price, the physical premises need upkeep. We stayed in the main inn and felt that the interior and exterior need to be painted, the room heaters and refrigerators are loud and interrupt your sleep, it’s just not as comfortable as it should be for the price. With a little TLC, it would be great.
Had a wonderful stay at the Inn on the Riverwalk. The location is perfect! It’s only a short stroll to the King William historic home neighborhood or a short stroll to all the bars and restaurants on the Riverwalk. We appreciated having the separation for a quiet stay in a charming home. We never made it to any of the breakfast/brunch restaurants because we enjoyed our breakfast at the Inn. Every morning we were greeted by friendly faces, (shout out to Mia and her happy smile) good food and coffee before heading off to explore San Antonio. I read quite a few reviews before booking, so I knew this place was old but I was pleasantly surprised by the updated bathroom. Bed and linens were comfortable, and our room had a fireplace which we enjoyed on the cold February nights. We were in the guest house across the street from the main house and enjoyed the porch and chickens. It’s a quaint place that’s very much like staying with friends.…
We absolutely loved staying at the Inn On The Riverwalk/Cottage. We were greeted by Roland and his son and they were so welcoming and gave wonderful suggestions about the area. The cottage was an easy walk to the Riverwalk restaurants which we walked it twice in one day. The cottage was very clean and each room decorations so cute with San Antonio books and art. The view from the cottage was the quiet portion of the Riverwalk and it was very peaceful. We had wonderful breakfasts with Margaret and she was very sweet. I love this B&B for the location which felt extremely safe and the awesome owner and staff. We will definitely stay here again.
My husband and I had an amazing weekend away in San Antonio and we can’t recommend this B&B enough! Our room was cozy, quiet, and so comfortable. It’s location is beautiful and so close(walking distance) to so many fun activities. Also a quick 7 min drive to the Pearl Brewery area. Breakfast was always delicious and Roland is a wonderful host. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in a great location with a personal touch I highly recommend you book here! Family friendly as well and we look forward to bringing our daughter next time.
The Inn on the Riverwalk is a renovated and rustic multi floor multi balcony bed and breakfast establishment right on the famous San Antonio River. Parking included, this is on a quiet section of the River that is close to fine dining and fun bars. The Aztec Theater area where tourist atractions such as river barge tours are only a few blocks away. Lovely at night with all the Christmas lights. The folks such as Margaret create a cozy atmosphere and the delightful fresh homemade breakfast delicious that one may take out to the patio overlooking the river to eat. The Inn is divided into perhaps 10 guest rooms and it very Texas rustic and would make a fun destination for an event wedding or party. Highly recommend
An older building on a quiet street which dead-ends at the Riverwalk, an easy & pretty walk to the downtown sites . Everything was lovely and clean, the beds comfortable, the soaps & shampoo, etc. delightful. There was coffee and a microwave &, of course, TV & Wi-Fi in the room. Dr Roland & his staff are warm & gracious & informative. The breakfasts were good & provided plenty of fuel for a full day of walking adventures. This is certainly my place of choice for San Antonio.
