They need better communication with housekeeping. Checkout is at noon and housekeeping knocked my door 5 times and even opened my door after calling the front desk and telling them the room was occupied.
The Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio at the Rim was great. The people were friendly and helpful. The sleeping rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food and beverage offerings were standard and all we needed for the occasion.
So I'm here for two days staying in room 410. There are signs everywhere saying staff will wear masks but I didn't see any doing so. So I try checking in this morning on the hilton app and it won't let me select a room so I'll just deal with it when I get to the hotel. That was a mistake. I get here at 3:00PM today, and a maskless male employee at the front desk calls me "boss", doesn't thank me for being Hilton gold, and hands me a bag with two bottles of water in it. One of the elevators is broken. I get to my room and from the floorplan of this place, it's one of the smallest rooms at the property. They broke into my vehicle and the staff could careless. I’m not happy with their customer service. They just stated “we are not liable”. Front desk kept making excuses. General manager would not come Out to speak to me. 🙄
I've been a Hilton Honors member for several years. Never have I had such a lackluster stay. We prepaid for the room expecting contactless check in and a digital key. When we arrived, There was nothing contactless about the experience. I had to show my ID and resubmit my credit card information. When I asked why I only got "It happens all the time". After going up to the room we discovered no hot water in the shower and the TV only offered 1 channel. I went to the front desk (that rarely had someone behind it) and they said someone would look into the shower (as an aside, the sink had plenty of hot water, just not the shower) and the TV. Great trip to San Antonio for a night of Topgolf entertainment and a late morning breakfast at this super nice and clean Hilton property. We will be returning to this place on our next trip to San Antonio.
Upon entering the hotel we felt very welcomed and it was very nicely decorated for the holidays. The service was exceptional and the hotel was very clean. We had an amazing stay and will definitely return.
Location is great for shopping, UTSA games, Fiesta etc. First stay at this hotel & I’ll be back. So quiet as it sits a block off service road with restaurants & shopping next block. Didn’t use pool/exercise equipment but breakfast omelette & coffee were perfect.
Comfortable King bed and spacious room and bathroom, easy to use AC/Heat settings. Tall ceilings. Very clean. Wait staff and front desk were patient and gracious. The breakfast buffet was extensive and the food excellent.
The hotel staff is fantastic. They have all the amenities you could want at the hotel. The location near the rim which has pretty much any type of food, shopping, and entertainment you would want within a short driving distance.
