The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Holidays. My room was immaculate and the staff were quick to accommodate all my needs. The staff member “Fast Eddie” was friendly and polite and made sure I had all my belongings before checking out of the room.

Loved this location on Riverwalk! This hotel was very busy while we visited on a spring family trip . AJ and Fast Eddie helped us gets bags in and out. Valet was expensive but usually fast. Everyone we encountered there was so friendly and helpful. Bar was super busy due to a conference at hotel but they were working hard to get drinks out! Enjoyed happy hour margaritas each night before dinner. Loved the suite set up since we had kids with us. It was perfect. Will return if we get a chance to come back to San Antonio!

Staff was wonderful and the hotel is beautiful! We had a beautiful suite - comfortable, clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Great location downtown and the restaurant and bar onsite were delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Why this hotel is rating so high ......I have no idea??? Upon arrival we were moved to 3 different rooms all FILTHY! The first lady manager I spoke with could care less. The price of the room was high.. I expect at the very least a clean room. Carpets, couches, bathroom all stained and dirty. Spent alot of time moving from room to room and not on the riverwalk.. NEVER EVER would I recommend this place. This room was the most expensive on our road trip and the absolute worst.

We were so surprised when we got to Hotel Contessa. It was such a friendly place and the staff was so efficient. We didn’t wait for anything. Even the elevators were fast. We can’t wait to come back. We enjoyed champagne and snacks courtesy of Stephanie and Jeff. Unforgettable! Wish all our stays could be like the one we enjoyed at Hotel Contessa!

We went for Thanksgiving weekend, room was nice, location is good and food was good! Service was a little slow due to how busy they were, saw the boat parade and lighting of the Riverwalk lights, lots to do within walking distance.

Perfect location for our six-day stay downtown San Antonio! The Riverwalk served as both great scenery and where we took the dogs out for walks. Renovated room was spacious enough for our family and visiting guests. The Ambler restaurant had really great food for breakfast and dinner, but Francisco made the experience 5-stars. He anticipated everything we could want and went above and beyond each time we dined there. Best waiter ever, no exaggeration. Valet service was easy, courteous, and always quick.

Ambler was best part of the stay, Francisco was very attentive throughout and made dining that much better. Room was clean and very spacious with beautiful view of hemisphere area. Highly recommended staying here for your next trip to San Antonio.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Contessa for our Honeymoon and they made it such a wonderful experience! A room with a beautiful view and complimentary champagne & cheese board, too! Such friendly and helpful staff that treat you so well. This hotel looks and feels nice with such high quality rooms, food and amenities! We will be returning to this hotel in the near future and recommend it to others!

We arrived and were greeted with smiles. Check in was smooth, our room was beautiful, it was an easy walk to many places. We could control our own air. We had plenty of room in the clean suite. We would definitely stay again!
