This hotel is slightly away from the big crowd, off the busy trail but still very accessible to everything you'd want to see. Check in with Ryan was a pleasure. He was friendly, kind and full of information. Ryan was friendly to all I saw him interact with and very helpful. The in hotel restaurant was really good. Our server Vaughn was attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our food. Prices are a bit high, but our portions were on par with the price. My husband and I actually wound up splitting a dish the second evening and were both more than satisfied. Dinner and drinks were very good. On Friday evening there was live music which was very good. We really enjoyed it. The pool was clean with multiple levels of depth. Our room was clean, the only "issue" was the bathroom door. Some may find it bothersome. It's a sliding door that leaves about an inch or so opening, even when closed and locked. When traveling with family it may not be an issue but if traveling with someone you don't know very well, you could feel uncomfortable. Parking is $22 a day - either self parking or valet. There is parking around the hotel that some said was free, but we found it easier to just valet. We enjoyed the hotel and would stay here again. Right along the river is an odd smell. We were informed by a boat driver it may be the herbs planted around the property. We rode the Rio cruise boat to the main horseshoe. Cost for a 24 hour pass was $16 a person (if staying downriver it's cheaper, since you won't need the combo pass). You can get on and off as you please. We found this the best way to travel and liked not being in the center of chaos at one of the hotels closer to the horseshoe. We rode in to the horseshoe, had lunch, walked to the Slamo and to the Tower of the Americas as well as other attractions with ease. We rode the boat back to the hotel. We recommend the hotel.

The staff is amazing. They go above and beyond to assist us. The location is perfect - directly on the riverwalk, but far enough that we are not directly downtown. The view from my balcony was beautiful. I liked getting my coffee in the morning and bringing it back to my balcony overlooking the riverwalk.

The hotel was a typical stay for most business travelers. The reason for the 4 rating was due to not including a breakfast with the stay. Breakfast cost was $11. I have just come to expect it to be included. I walked a very short distance to a nice restaurant and had a large menu selection for less money.

I have been in many hotels and this is my fist time staying in a Wyndham, I will look for them now. Not only is the room updated, nice and clean, but the staff here are amazing! Everyone acknowledges me with a smile. Saved money by choosing this hotel and it has a restaurant and bar onsite as well!
