Where do I start with this experience?? First, I am a Hyatt Globalist and did not realize that none of the perks translate. Regardless, we had booked a 2 bedroom suite at full rack rate. The suite we were given overlooked the parking lot on one side and a construction site on the other. The room itself was a little dated but overall OK. However, I have never been to a hotel that did not disclose ongoing construction - there is both noise and the inconvenience. When we asked for a different room, the receptionist and manager were rude and not at all apologetic about the situation. They offered to "downgrade" us to another room but with no adjustments to rate, so we kept our original room. Now about the construction - this involves the entire recreational facility (pools etc). So the closure they reference has nothing to do with COVID but with renovations. On top of that, the appeared to be no reason to not even offer basic amenities - coffee service or onsite store. You had to leave the complex for everything. None of these factors, however, would make me write this review. What pushed me over the edge was the rudeness and lack of customer service by the front desk. Their excuse for everything was "we are fully booked" - not true as you could go online and purchase all rooms on both nights. This facility should NOT be branded Hyatt. If they want to run a timesher, go ahead but do not get loyal Hyatt customers to book at you rfacolity under false pretenses of decent standards.…
First DO NOT participate in their sales pitch. It is not worth the time to receive a minimal resort credit. Two - this property says they have closed facilities due to COVID - these facilities were closed prior to COVID because the structures were condemned. Don’t believe this misrepresentation. And finally Hyatt Residence Club is not helpful or flexible and again DON’T fall for the sales pitch.
We received an email from resort one week before arrival basically telling us everything was closed (all pools, slides, hot tubs, saunas, Camp Armadillo, no housekeeping, food and beverage outlets). Gym moved with very little equipment. This is probably the nosiest resort I have been to. Walls paper thin, housekeeping can’t just shut a door, it has to slam shut EVERY TIME! Lots of maintenance being done, which means strange people always walking by your room. Speaking of housekeeping. Went to do some dishes first night and we had a used sponge under our sink. No clean ones just a used one. Gross. No recycling can/bags in room. Only one extra garbage liner in kitchen. One bath soap. One tp roll. For the maintenance fees paid here, not worth it at all. Will not return. How do people rate this 5*? On check out had to pay $60 cleaning fee! They never even came during our stay. What does your annual maintenance fee even cover? We did not leave tip for housekeeping as we paid their tip on checkout.…
We own a membership at this sorry excuse of a resort. Amazing that thru the last year of people not being able to travel, they close everything (all pools, slides, rec area) down now at Easter/spring break. Lazy river closed. But even all that isn’t as bad as the room. The first two times we stayed here we traded thru Interval. Great room location. Loved it. We ended up buying! Big mistake. The last three times here since owning, we are in the sh-t rooms. Back corner. Everyone coming up stairs looks straight into your bedroom. Have to keep blinds closed so you have a nice dreary room. Last time here we had a broken box spring mattress. Had to come replace it. Washer leaked all over floor. But hey the maintenance fees go up and up. The first call I make when I get home is the the timeshare broker and get rid of this POS.…
We love staying at the Wild Oak Ranch. This was our third stay there. We just love the lazy river. The pool and recreation center are currently closed for renovations. Restaurant and ice house are also closed due to Covid. So glad at least the lazy river was open. We stayed for 7 nights with another couple in a 2 bedroom lock off.
