But…….the RV park is right on 1604 and there’s is constant highway noise. This is the perfect overnight or weekend stop but don’t expect a quiet, peaceful stay. They have great kids activities in the summer and a nice pool and hot tub. The bathrooms each have 4 private rooms with sinks toilets and showers and are heated and cooled. Overall it’s a nice stay if you don’t mind 24/7 highway noise.
I stayed here for 3 months ! Clean, safe, quiet, and so well staffed! From the front office to the gentleman who pumps the propane! I highly recommend this place! The laundry house is awesome and huge , made doing laundry a breeze! The pool always sparkling clean! They gave a free Thanksgiving dinner that was delicious. Can’t say enough good things! Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!
Kids kids kids. Yelling, running through sites, jumping out in front of cars, parents too busy to be bothered with ‘parenting’. Might as well be camped in a schoolyard at recess. Beautiful park, too bad the guests are fouling it up. Wish they would make the park adults only, would be FABULOUS to retire here.
Heavy highway noise. Lot's of permanent residents with trucks all day long. The facility is clean and easily accessible. Keep your windows closed at night if you want to sleep. Staff is friendly. NOT Luxury as stated, but just average. Very expensive by comparison. Many other better options. Look around.
Stayed 12/28-30/2020, space 512 Okay, this RV park does have some good features; great location if you're going to Sea World, it's got a lot of trees, and is pretty well maintained. That said, it's not the park for us. We've got a 38' bumper pull with 13' height so we were challenged by the park's very narrow lanes and low hanging tree branches. if not for the fact that a spot directly in front our ours was open, I don't think we would have been able to leave our site! And the majority of the spaces seem to be occupied by long term residents who have added a variety of furniture, flower pots, multiple vehicles, etc. etc., that crowd the already narrow lanes. Our kids were also looking forward to the fire pit that was advertised as being at our reserved space...once we checked in we were told that we were welcome to bring our own firepit. Not a huge deal, unless you've got to tell your 7 and 8 year old kids that the fire they were looking forward to roasting hot dogs on was not going to happen. And finally, while they advertise no cancellation fees, I guess that doesn't apply to early departures. We prepaid for a 3 night stay, but decided to leave a day early, and left at 9:30 AM, because our daughter was getting sick with a fever...obviously given Covid we didn't want to go into the office and risk exposing their staff in the event it was Covid instead of the flu. We did however call and let them know we were checking out and why...had to leave voice message, and never got a call back, or a requested refund (yet?) for the 1 night. The above all said, if you've got a smaller RV and want to be close to Sea World, this might be a good RV Park for you.…
Highly recommend Blazing Star RV Resort. We stayed 7 nights, and it was a pleasant and peaceful experience. Pool was a nice respite from the heat. Pool was clean at all times. Did not need the restrooms and showers, but they were very nice and clean. Some places put a Resort Tag after their name,to raise prices. This is a true Resort.
We stayed at this RV park for one night during our road trip on our way home to California. This is a very beautiful park. The spaces are a great size and most of them have a shade tree out front. The pool was nice and clean. They have two great big dog parks with areas to bathe your dogs. The park is also close to shopping and several restaurants. If I found that I was going to be in the San Antonio area for an extended amount of time I would 100% stay at this park again.
We just stayed at this park for a week. We were in spot #114 loved it. They did such a good job and keeping this park maintained. There are quite a few full timers there but you would never know it. Next time in San Antonio we will plan on staying longer. Just loved our spot and the grounds.
We visited Blazing star rv resort for Labor Day weekend 2019. This resort really keeps the property clean and beautiful. The pool area is extremely beautiful with plenty of seating and shade with a nice atmosphere. The full hook ups all worked well and the site was impeccable. The limbs from all the large oaks were trimmed in a nice fashion not to scratch the rv. We really enjoyed watching the 9pm fireworks we saw ever night that one of the theme parks did. Very nice, will return many more times.
This RV resort seems clean and mostly full time residents. However we booked for a standard RV site Saturday and Sunday night on their website with a 20% discount code. However when we checked in around 2 pm on Saturday we were told the manager “doesn’t allow discounts on standard sites - only economy sites”. So we were moved to an economy site despite the fact that we had paid for a standard site. We have NO shade and are right next to all of the lights from the store, pool and playground so it’s super bright at night. The 2 first rows are completely empty so I don’t know why they had to put us in the worst spot in the entire RV park. Definitely take the time to look at the sites before you check in and park your RV. Also check carefully the prices and make sure you are getting the class that you booked. …
