This is a little gem of a park for those who want ride the wonderful San Antonio Riverwalk. The southern, historic Mission end of the trail is just STEPS outside the entrance to the park!. There has been extensive recent improvements made to this park. New blacktop, new fencing, new rounded pebble "gravel" at each site, new picnic tables at most sites. I don't know how they keep the pebbles so neat! Nice thick grass. One side of the park sits against a large public golf course. That side is so wooded that you cannot see the golf course. Everything everwhere was attractively kept even the row of semi permanent RVers and park models. Because these were so neatly kept they lent an air of security, plus everyone was friendly. The location of the park is certainly urban once you are outside. The neighborhood is semi-industrial/retail with lower income housing down the road. We had read about two theft of bikes in the park. Because of this, we triple locked our bikes, kept the motorhome sidelights on all night and left some windows open. We realize it is an urban area, but with the price of some bikes reaching upwards of $7,000 the owners would do well to invest in a coded gate, then advertise what a great spot they have for bike enthusiasts. For larger motorhomes there are long level sites and good turning access in the park BUT, there are several sites with the electric on the wrong, patio side: 85,89,91,93,95,97. My handicapped husband had to pull the heavy cord around the back to the other side. Office staff should have notes to save these for trailers or when all others are filled. We rode out every day on our bikes, a couple times each day. There are also electric bike rental stalls along the walk. The city is adding connected paths all over the city. Can't wait to return

Very nice RV park. Nice amount of space between sites. More grass than expected. Very quiet. There is a nice pool but the hours were limited. It closed at 7 and we would have liked to use it later. Great place to walk your dog. There is also a small dog area.

A word of warning to anyone planning to stay at Travelers World in San Antonio, TX (a Sun RV Resort). Our bikes were stolen here last night, AND they were secured down. The SAPD officer who responded to our report stated theft is a common problem here, especially with bikes and sometimes break ins. He is called here once or twice a month. There is only one way to enter the park, but unfortunately they have no video surveillance here. When expressing my displeasure to the office staff about the lack of security for a known problem, they refer to their check in disclaimer about securing your bikes while here. The Sun RV Resort management apparently don't feel the need to assist in protecting their guests and/or their property by this park's example. This park is in a great location for those who enjoy biking, right on the River Walk biketrail, so obviously many guests will be bringing their bikes. DO NOT EXPECT THEM OR ANY OTHER PROPERTY TO BE SECURE IF YOU DECIDE TO STAY HERE!!!!!

When you are driving up Roosevelt to Travelers World, you are thinking not such a great area of the city. BUT, when you turn in to Travelers World, it is like a little oasis. The grounds are beautiful, the lots are spacious. And you feel like you are in the middle of the country instead of in an urban area. We only stayed one night and used none of the amenities but would definitely go back to a longer stay. We made a quick trip to RiverWalk and it was made so easy- there is a bus stop in front of the campground. The office provided us with maps and bus schedules and the drivers were friendly and very helpful.

If you need a nice decent RV park that is not too far away from Downtown.. you should check this place out. The park is VERY Clean and quiet. it's secluded in it's own environment yet right their among everything. There are cabins available and I noticed that there are some long term RVs there as well. In this place, the long term RV dressed up the place.. the area around most of the sites are reasonable.. we stayed in a back in site on the left side, as you would drive in. These seemed a bit larger than those on the right side. The pull through sites looked pretty nice too.. more room around your RV and a lot of places offer. They have a small, but really nice and clean swimming pool.. and a very nice hot tub adjacent to it. Restrooms and showers were super clean and air conditioned too! A playground, a nice fenced in dog run.. overall, I would definitely return to this site. Full hook ups.. the electrical boxes seemed a bit aged.. but they worked just fine. Check out their web site.. you can believe what you see and read.
